Went on a Friday - the factory doesn't run on Fridays during the summer so there was nothing running/being made that day rendering the tour worthless. Unless you're REALLY interested in seeing the tour and learning a brief the history of the company I'd skip it and just buy candy instead.
They make and sell 3 lines here, Fanny May, Fannie Farmer, and Harry London. All great with enormous selections. You can even take a tour and see them make the candies.
We stopped by here to take a tour and found out they only give them Monday - Friday 10 am-4 pm. It was Saturday. We decided to visit the store and picked up some tasty sweets which we might share with friends. The staff is really nice and even gave us some samples. We ate one and take one with us. If you have 30 minutes stop in and take a look around. They have handicapped parking near the front and special section for expectant mothers.
anything you can think of they have........the taste is devine! people order from all around the united states......makes great gifts!
chocolate is chocolate unless you buy it at the factory.Love to visit and buy regular and sugar free treats
They offer great tours of how the chocolate is made. They have the best chocolate. Many people do not know that they supply many of the bars used in fund raising events. Yum!!!
A short video of the history of the company, plus a wall time line begins the tour of the factory. A guide then walks down a glass enclosed corridor above the working conveyer belts and workers below making the different kinds of chocolate candies. Free taste testing samples included in tour. Retail gift shop includes ice cream tastes as well as all kinds of candy to purchase.
We enjoyed our tour of the Chocolate factory. It starts with a historical video which ended up being the weakest part. The tour guide was very polite and answered all questions. The tour is shorter but you do get to see the full floor and find out what is going on at the moment. They even gave us some samples of recent chocolates toward the end of the tour. It is worth stopping in and seeing.
We got there right after Easter, so had great sales! Do give factory tours, but weren't open on Saturday.
When visiting family in Ohio, I stop by to bring a bag of goodies home to friends. They also offer tours if you want to see the candy being made.
