this was our first stop on the wine tour and i'm sorry to say we will never visit there again, we were treated very rude by the lady serving us. although they did have some nice tasting wines
Just loved our visit to this winery. We was treated like family. The owner took me on a tour and explained everything to me. I loved it. This is definitely a winery to visit. Even sat out on the back deck and drank a glass of wine. The smell of the grapes was amazing.
Penn Shore was our first stop on a beautiful Saturday morning. Unfortunately, a tour bus was unloading at the same time we pulled in to the parking lot. We took one look at the large crowd and turned around. Much to our surprise, the owner followed us out to the parking lot with tokens for a complimentary tasting. He said he understood why we left but invited us to come back. We returned later in the afternoon to a much more reasonable crowd. We let him know we definitely appreciated his customer service. We enjoyed our tasting very much! We left with a bottle and a great experience. We will definitely return!
The family that run this lovely winery were really friendly when we stopped by. We took a tour around the grounds and saw their vineyards, which, sadly, were not in full bloom as they had just harvested all their grapes! After the tour, we sampled five of their lovely wines - only a dollar each! - and ended up buying a bottle. Definitely worth a look in. I don't even like wine that much, but I still had a lot of fun!
We had the opportunity to stop and taste the wine at Penn Shore. The young woman at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful. Their tasting fee is extremely reasonable with five tastes for $1.00. We ended up purchasing several bottles to go. Again, very nice people!
Stopped in on return trip from Hamburg, NY Very nice and courteous young lady answered our questions about the different wines. We bought a case consisting of different types of wine and so far all we have tried have been excellent!! The Pink Catawba is the best I have ever tried, we are planning a special trip to purchase more.
I realize it was during the wine festival, but we felt rushed through the wine tasting. Even with only a limited selection to taste, no sooner did we set our cup down, the server was pouring the next wine to be tasted, whether we wanted it or not. This was one of the (very) places where we purchased no wine.
This was the last stop of our guided tour for See Erie tours. John was an excellent tour guide and knowledgeable in all things North East and wines! Our group of 5 had a great time during this tour. The Bubbling Niagara was my favorite wine at Penn Shore Winery. The Lambruscano was also a very good semi-sweet wine. I purchased a bottle of each. Thank you John for a great day!
We visited Penn Shore Winery for wine tasting and purchase. The owner himself served us the tastings of our choice...he is very friendly and informative. There is a $1 fee for 5 one ounce tastes..and if you buy several they give you a discount! Nice people...great wine..not pushy sales people!
Very well displayed, knowledgeable and courteous staff, great ambiance, wonderful wines. Great prices for the tastings as well.
