We stayed at Dogwood Hills Resort and booked a three day three course golf package. We played golf at Dogwood Hills on the third day of golf. Our tee time was 11am but the weather was showing storms for the afternoon so they gladly let us tee off early to get our golf in before the storm. It was a very nice course. Because we golfed early there was a lot of course maintenance going on (mowing, etc.) but the staff was very conscious of the golfers and would stop until you were by. After a day of golf be sure to stop in at Mitch & Duffs Watering Hole to see Marian!!
Dogwood Hills is a good golf course, but while it's not the Oaks at Tan-Tar-A, it is still a great day on the links without having to pay an arm and leg. One big plus is the driving range across the street. It's a great place to get your swing up to par before you start your game. Another great feature is the club and dining facility. They offer a great dinner and appetizers for anyone who stops by. It is not just for members like so many other country clubs or golf clubs. The owners are very fiendly and will go out of their way to help wherever they can.
For the last two summers, I have gone with a couple friends to Dogwood Hills Golf Resort. I can't start to explain how nice everyone is; from the waitresses at Mitch & Duff's, to the course maintenance crew, to the proshop employees. The course if fun and challenging, but also friendly to new golfers. The course is conveniently located right across the street from the resort, which is a big plus if you have had a few beverages on the course. If you are looking to play at a nice course and have a great time, I definitly recommend Dogwood Hills Golf Resort! We will be back for years to come.
Dogwood Hills Golf Club is very well-maintained and reasonably challenging. The restaurant offers fantastic breakfast deals, and the pro shop is well-stocked. Dogwood also offers a reasonably-priced practice facility across the street, including driving range, practice green, and chipping area.
course was in real good shape. greens are always in great shape and are a challenge due to contours. plenty of trees to get in your way or to seek shade on hot day.
We come from Iowa and have not had much if any chance to play so enjoy Dogwoods playability. Staff and Restaurant top rate!
I'm just reviewing the breakfast in the restaurant. They have an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for 99 cents! The pancakes were great and the waitress was real friendly. There's also a good view of the golf course where we could watch golfers teeing off on the 1st tee.
I have never played the course but the driving range is Self Service. You have to buy tokens from a machine and use those to get your bucket of balls. No tees on the driving range so you need to bring your own.Its very basic but they do have a nice practice green where you can also practice your chipping
Well maintained course. Small greens require precise shot making. Good place to get your game ready for the tougher courses in the area.
Have played Dogwood Hills before and liked it then loved it now. Greens were a little fast but the course is a good course for an average golfer. Nice practice area with chipping and sand trap. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
