A large beach with good parking and lots of beautiful sand. When the tide is out, you feel that you can walk to the mainland. Whaen the tide comes in over the warm/hot sand it heats the water up deliciously. Perfect beach for families with children of all ages.
This is a great and safe place to be for walks, picnics, a little local wildlife, or just for sitting and looking across the sea to the mountains of British Columbia. When the tide's out, the beach goes on forever, so you won't be tripping over anybody!
A well kept park full of birds, trees and right on the ocean. Lovely for walking, picnics and camping.
First time on the island and we didn't have a site booked but there wasn't a problem. Great staff and One of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at, Can't wait to go back!!!
A most popular place in summer months is equally as beautiful in December. No crowded beaches no multitude of people just peace and solitude. Enjoyed watching the Dolphins frolicking in the surf as well as huge sea lions barking at the sea. Beautiful sunny day and great refreshing walks in this pristine park
Long walks on the beach. Lots of shells and stones to pick up and treasure. Brisk winter day and needed warm coats.
fantastic beach area . low tides seem to go out for ever. great trails to walk through trees or along beach.find sand dollars at low tide.
Views of the Sunshine Coast across the Straits of Georgia. Wonderful place for picnics and large family or group gatherings with many picnic benches spread along the waters edge. Fabulous bay with gently sloping sandy beach, really safe for swimming and paddling...Simply loved the place and scenic beauty....
Perhaps I shouldn't share as I am a local and walk Rathtrevor at least once weekly. A beautiful park with beach and forest trails as well as a wonderful campground. Mostly dog friendly but you must respect the signs and avoid certain areas at certain times of the year.
Great walking trails through forests of Douglas Fir veterans. saw eagles sea lions, harbor seals and many sea birds. great views of the coast mtn range. Great park facilities. There is a secondary entrance to park trails. take road to the west off of the old island hwy about 100 meters from the Englishman River bridge just south of Parksville
