We go to Pala every other weekend, we usually spend Saturday nite there. The rooms are spacious, clean but at times the mattresses can be a bit soft and might end up hurting back, otherwise, great. The casino in its entirety is spacious and custodial employees do a wonderful job 24/7. The bars are fun and full of entertainment. The price of the drinks outrageously high. However, the Los Amigos outside bar, has a happy hour and $1.00 tacos, can't go wrong. The buffet is outrageously good, great variety and the price quite fair. But the lines.....triple wide at times.
Pala has a first class Spa. My wife and I go here to be pampered and relax after a couples massage. What more can I say, We Love It.
Stayed here when we saw Jeff Dunham. The rooms are great, large and very well kept. The spa is small but the services were amazing
I just got a pearl privileges card, and approached the VIP room, to inquire if I can bypass the line to the buffet, since it is my birthday anyway.....the lady at the VIP just nonchalantly said no, sorry, without even pretending to ask a manager If perhaps an exception can be made.....you know, just to make someone feel good.....they lack diplomacy. We were in a family group of 5, I do understand , but there s no sense of warmth with these people.
The hotel, spa & restaurants are the BEST!! The food here is excellent!! The concerts are the bomb! The all around experience here is fabulous...hands down. Love this place!
Pala is a great casino to enjoy however on New Year's Eve it was a not what I expected... it was boring, no excitement!!! I met people who had travel from Valley View Casino and they were greeted with party hats, whistles, and much more a lot of them thought Pala was going to be much better but they were disappointed on the outcome. Next Year surely I'll be somewhere else... Happy New Year!!!
Don't go! This place was filthy, dirty towels on the sauna floor, hair all over the countertops, trash overflowing in the trash, just nasty. My service was an hour and a half, got barely and hour...they are the worst! When I notified them of this it was a who cares attitude. I've never been to a spa this filthy they offered me another treatment I said no thanks I wouldn't step a foot in that place again! In fact I reported them to the Health Department!
I came to the spa entrance to make an appointment for a massage for my wife that day. The spa was not quite open yet so I decided to wait a few minutes until the sign said it would open that morning. Though it was still "closed", someone unlocked the door and opened it, not to assist me or let us in but to tell me to leave the premises because my daughter was with me and "children are not allowed in the spa." We were just standing there outside waiting (!) and my daughter (age 5) was quietly holding my hand causing no disruption. This made absolutely no sense that a business would do this. Even to let us in to make a later appointment. Of course we wouldn't bring our daughter to the appointment itself. Needless to say I did not return to make an appointment as my wife and I no longer wished to be customers. I don't recommend this resort for families and I think they want it that way.
The spa at this hotel/casino is among the best I have ever experienced. The dressing room/jacuzzi area is clean and large. You always have the option of having your massage indoors or out. The massage rooms are extremely private and quiet. Outdoors you can hear the birds and the wind as it blows through the trees. I can honestly say, I had the best Swedish Massage I've ever had. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.
We've gotten a room here too a few years back. Was very nice with a jacuzzi in the room, at a very reasonable price. I have won at the slots, but I have lost at the slots. Just never know. I do like that they still have the older style slots, and the amount they have to choose from.
