Once we arrived and stood at the tasting bar we were ignored for a good 5 minutes. When we were recognized, we were asked if we were there for a tasting in a somewhat curt fashion. It felt like we were a bother and should just leave.Disappointing experience and certainly spoiled any enjoyment we would have had tasting their wines. Obviously we left without purchasing!!
The wine tasting was set up in groupings so my husband & I chose different groups & shared each sample. We liked most of the wines & bought a variety case.We were the only visitors to the winery on a Monday afternoon. We found our way to the correct building which enters in the winery. The tasting room is upstairs. There a collection of wine oriented gift items.
There are three winemakers here. Wines are okay -- of course, it depends on what you want. Tasting room is about 5 years old and well-kept.
Someone in a previous review said the staff wasn't friendly... wow that surprises me! Our group of four rode in on our bikes and the owner took time to give us the royal treatment, wish I could remember her name. We had a lovely tasting and then spent some time just visiting about wines. We purchased the G Road Red and really enjoyed the personal attention and cute tastily room.
We had a good tasting experience here. The winemaker is German and seems to do best with German style wines. We ended up getting a bottle of ice wine, which was quite good. Tasting room was good and the woman there used to work for a large wine distributor and was consequentially very informative.
This winery had a nice selection of wines to taste and like most of the winerys it had a selection of gifts for purchase. I bought one bottle of wine here.
A friendly staff who were able to give good advice about their wines. Comfortable tasting room with shady tables outside.
We liked the way that you chose a flight to sample. Staff was friendly and the wines were wonderful. The prices were also reasonable. We visited most of the wineries in the area and this was one of the best.
We stopped by at 11 in the morning. They weren't really open yet. We were met by a lovely lady who took us up stairs to the tasting room. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She offered us some chips to eat as we tasted wines. That was a good thing because this was our third winery that day. We bought the S2 which is a lovely white wine. I will be asking our liquor store to carry it. There was no charge for tasting.
The folks working at the wine tasting were wonderful. So nice and very informative. You have the option to try wine that matches your general preference rather than simply their whole collection or their choice.
