We saw more than I had expectedBasic entrance (~17$) is ok to see it all - you can spend time around, see po ds and other parts of the premises, feeding show (relatively ok even for a European - not too much exagerated as the Americans often do) and hold a baby aligator (take picture). It was worth having some extra miles driven from our route. We actually saw more than I had expected.
They are changing their pricing and had us confused. The "hold a gator" area did not have any larger gators like last year. The adults looked stupid holding a small gator. The kids love this place and we will return. It is a great value for the buck and the conversation lingers on for the rest of the day. Did you see the size of those gators, see how high that gator rose out of the water to grab the chicken, feed the raccoons and talk to the parrots. Love this place.
Enjoyed once again. Kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed the interaction with the gators and crocs. Hilda was very nice as well.
Great day with the kids! My three children loved playing with the gators! Staff was super friendly and helpful! My 8,9 and 11 year old love catching the baby gators in the pond! Jose went in the pond with the kids, he made sure they all caught a gator! His gator feeding was a lot of fun to watch! The admission prices were very reasonable, 15 for adults and the kids prices were the same if they wanted to catch a gator!
Nice place off the beaten path. One thing you don't have too worry too much about is long lines. Plenty of close encounters with alligators an crocodiles. They have mini shows every hour and are informative . For extra you can hold the critters. We chose not to but watch others do so. 1-2 hours to see everthing.
Lots more than just gators on display here. Florida panthers, bobcat, tortoise, and exotic birds. It wasn't crowded the day we were there, and the Gator Feeder Guy was very open to questions and very accommodating. The feeding shows were great and everyone can hold a gator (about two feet long in our case). Prices and option packages are clearly stated up front. Gatorama has been open for 50 years and is in the boondocks, about an hour from Ft Myers, but that gave the kids a chance to see the agricultural side of Florida- ranches, orange groves, etc. Glad we went.
Stopped by just to see what it was and was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. If you want to see gators stop by and see Hilda . Nice lady who told us about the gators and others animals out back . There were gators and crocodiles by the bunches, every size u could imagine. U just walk thru at your own pace. They have stuff for the kids to do like touching and egg hatching which we were not interested in. There was gator wrestling which we were too late for. All in all my family enjoyed it.
Went to Gatorama today because granddaughter wanted to see gators and the everglade trip was too long. Our granddaughter (age 10) got to catch and hold a small gator who's mouth was taped shut and then got to sit on another one who was about 5 feet long. (Also secured) Nice to go through at your own pace and spent a fair amount buying gatorfood to feed them. Lots of other animals to look at as well. Overall would recommend it.
Tim,First, thank you for visiting Gatorama. We appreciate all input we receive from guests that visit us. Trip Advisor is one of the methods we use to guage how we are doing from a guests point of view. We currently hold licenses from and are inspected by USDA / APHIS and the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission. All of our enclosures meet or exceed the caging requirements from both agencies. We do provide enrichment for all of our animals on a regular basis. We, here at Gatorama strive to continue to give our animals excellent care. As you may see, a very high percentage of reviewers on this forum think we are doing a great job. We do thank you for your comments and will continue make needed improvements we see fit, that benefits our animals.
The lady at the desk was very rude, I work in a business with the public an this isn't how you talk to customers,we got there 15 mins before they closed an, took our 15 bucks a piece an told us to make it quick. The last time I bring family members there
