Not as glorious as the website states, as well as not even being close to the corner of Hwy's 50 & 370 as the website map shows. Try hiring someone in the Marketing department that actually knows what they are doing.Average, small ballpark. Does not compete with 80% of other AA or even AA parks out there. Way too far out of the way. Will NEVER replace Rosenblatt!
This ball field has great seats every where the outfield is even grass that you can bring picnic blankets and sit and watch the game while the kids run around. Free parking and fair priced concessions they even have a hug play ground inside the ballpark for the kids to at on and you can still see the game from this area.
Like most ball parks you will pay an arm and a leg to eat but otherwise it's a good time!! The staff is friendly and there really isn't a bad seat in the place.
If you are a baseball fan and in the Omaha area, plan to see an Omaha Stormchasers game. Great family fun. Not a bad seat in the place. Great area for kids with lots of activities. Food from various local restaurants--Mexican, Italian (pizza), as well as typical baseball fare--hotdogs, funnel cakes, ice cream and beer. Mascot may look a little lame but fun to see the between-inning games and special events. Fireworks after some of the games. Check it out!
The open concourse concept means you can see the field from just about every where in the stadium. Food selection is a bit limited, quality is good and prices are average. Deals on food and beverages greatly reduce costs so check for them if you're budgeting your entertainment dollars. Ticket prices are the lowest I've seen for this quality of baseball.Seats in section 105-107 and 119 to 121 aren't angled well for viewing the plate, so you might find your self turned a bit in your chair or getting a stiff neck.Plenty of things to do for the little ones who don't want to watch the games. Great family 'sit on a blanket' berms over the right and right center field walls.
Werner Park is a beautiful baseball field with great seats all around. Pletny of parking and concessions. The field is kept in prestine condition. The fireworks on the 3rd of July are very good and worth the traffic congestion. Note, you don't have to go to the game to enjoy the fireworks as the stadium is in an open fielded area so the fireworks can be seen from miles around.
This is a wonderful place to watch a baseball game. The Omaha Storm Chasers are the triple AAA farm club of the K.C.Royals and are national AAA champs two years in a row. First class baseball in a wonderful small ballpark built for minor league ball. Every seat is great, there is a grassy berm over the outfield fence to sit on the grass if you wish, and even a little kiddy play area with rides to keep them occupied. Ticket prices have been acceptable to this point.Wonderfully friendly staff, nice choices for food or drink and plenty of parking. If each item was simply $1 less it would be perfect.
This is the best ball park around here and anywhere else for that matter...The Storm Chasers are a great team. Ball park is always kept very clean and bathrooms are the cleanest around.
Options for everyone--the Stormchasers and baseball are great! The park is a great venue for other things as well (fantastic time at the Nebraska Beer Festival). Good concessions, lots of good beer choices to include Nebraska Brewing Company beer, full bars available, seating from berm to suites, great place to host a group gathering, activities for kids. Ample parking, easy to get to. Always a good time at Werner Park!
A fairly new AAA baseball park, this place has great seating and very good sight lines. Parking was close and convenient, and the assortment of available food was also good. As a veteran, I was very pleased to learn that this park keeps a section of seats open and unsold in recognition of missing troops. A very nice touch. If you are a baseball fan, this place is hard to beat.
