We decided to book our trip to Saona Island after emailing Claudio. He replied promptly and answered all our questions. The booking process was efficient and easy and we would have no hesitation in booking with Living Punta Cana again..we have in fact recommended him already to friends going to DR in a few weeks. Lovely friendly guy, thank you Claudio :) x
Hi Becky, thank you so much for your review. My goal is always to provide to my customers right and sincere info about my tours so I will get advantage of your comment to say a bit more about the Saona excursion I offer. First of all the things you wrote are basically correct. The tour I offer has for me strenghts and weaknesses. Strenghts:- The company i work with offers probably one of the best entertainment on the catamaran, good music, dancing and a nice cruise;- The guests go to one of the best beaches at Saona, very clean and sandy with all the most important facilities (because not all the beaches at Saona are nice and each company has a specific beach where can take its customers) Weaknesses:- Food and drinks. Definitely this is not a tour for someone looking for high quality food and drinks. The buffet I think is pretty wide. Like all the tours that provide an open bar option (party boat, discos, day trips) the quality of the drinks is not great. Most of the customers say the buffet is fine and sometime they say even better of the one in their resort...but is just a point of view.Talking about the starfish at the natural pool... unfortunately right now there are just few of them so when you plan to go to Saona and stop at the natural pool don't believe the people who say you will find plenty of them. Usually the photographers are the fastest to find them and they use them to take the pictures of the customers. Best way is to leave them take all the pictures and doing their job and when they finish you can use them to take your own photos. Please be aware the starfish can be held just few seconds out of the water.Transportation: for what you wrote that was definitely a problem related to the day you did the tour. The transportation company uses different vans to pick up all the customers from the different hotels and they have a meeting point (usually a gas station) where depending on the number of people they got (as everyday there are last minute reservations and no shows) they fill up 1 or 2 vans to maximize the transportation and thanks to this procedure I can provide a good price per person. Usually this process needs 20-30 minutes sometimes but never 1 hour or more. So sorry for that.thanks again for your feedback, it will be very helpful for all the people will book this tour in the future.Saludos!!
We booked the Bavaro Runner tour for 6 people through Claudio as was a bit cheaper on his website. We leaved around 8:30 am and return around 17h. You absolutely must have your camera. We had the chance to see a bit of the city of Higuey as well as the sugar cane and cocoa plantations. Then we went to visit a typical Dominican house, ... It's beautiful, super clean and very interesting. We tried some coffee, cocoa and the famous Mamajuana from the Dominican Republic. Then we had lunch on a ranch. The food is very good and you can enjoy the beautiful views. In the afternoon we had the chance to see a rum and cigar factory. Personally interesting but a bit long. Finally, we moved to a beautiful beach before our return to the hotel. The guide and the driver were really great and very attentive to our questions and very nice to us. We loved it!
We met with Claudio and his friend from Canada on a Saturday night, we did the bar crawl with them, took us to El Kan and later Drink Point, he provided transportation, we were a group of 4. He made sure we had a good time at all the bars, at el Kan he purchased a bottle of Brugal and we just had to pay for the Coke. El drink was a crazy night, great music, a guy in our group purchased two big bottles of Gray Goose and the night just took off, we had the VIP section right away .. nobody wanted to leave the place. It was a great night, he made sure we went back to the hotel safely. Great work guys... keep the party going!
Thank you Mary!! Those were really great nights!! Hope in the future the bar crawl will get more popular... enjoy life in Atlanta...hope is not very cold!!
I read it here on tripadvisor about Claudio and i was like, who is claudio, how can i find him? I googled Claudio Punta Cana and I found him. If you book trouth Claudio you can save some money, like 20$ and more per excursion. It was our first trip to the dominican republic and we booked a tour trouth Claudio (http://www.livingpuntacana.com). With It was amazing. 100% worth of money. Great entertainment, relaxing and a lot of fun. Saona is so beautiful, it's like paradise
Hola Isabel, thank you so much for taking the time to provide me your feedback. So glad you enjoyed the tour. I think the Santo Domingo tour is still one of those that can be improved a bit more, specially the pick up can be more organized. We're trying to find a way together with the transportation company to maximize the timing in order the guests don't have to spend so much time on the van before leaving for the Capital. Hopefully in the future the tour will be even better.Saludos
Hi Ashley!!That was really a special night.... thanks for joining me in the bar crawl. Say hello to the other guys by my part... let's speak soon on FB.Thanks a lot!!
I booked an excursion through LivingPuntaCana & im glad I did. It was a lot cheaper than other sites and when I had questions, I emailed Claudio and received a response within minutes. I would Recommend booking through him.
I decided to book the bar crawl with Claudio as I wanted to see a bit of the local nightlife and have the chance to meet new people as I was a solo traveler. I chose to join the crawl on a Saturday and I'm glad I did. The tour turned out in the best night spent in Punta Cana. The first stop in Danny's bar we got a welcome shot of flavored rum (mine was pineapple) and vodka&cranberrie cocktails for 100 pesos... there was some live music too. Not so many people but was a good place to warm up and meet each other. Then we moved to the local bars... the second stop was El Kan. I loved this place...they play most of all Dominican music bachata and merengue... Claudio bought for us a bottle of Brugal and we just had to buy the mixers... spent 2 dollars for my coke and got 3 glasses of cubalibre!! I decided to tip the waiter who was very nice and provided a great service. At around 2:30am we moved to Drink Point which was very busy... Claudio had the table reserved for us so we had not problem to find our place... this bar is crazy, very well crowded and the music is played very loud. Probably the most popular bar in the area. We bought another bottle of rum and few mixers sharing the money and everybody had a great time. Claudio asked us if we want to check out club Jewel as well but nobody wanted to move...simply a great night. I met so many great and friendly people and never felt unsafe. Choose this tour if you wanna see a bit of the local nightlife, meet new people and have fun all together.
