We hired a tour guide for our visit to St Petersburg. This was a big help on many occasions. When trying to get into a museum the line are always very long, and time consuming. Having a tour guide, you can get in early in some places, or skip the long line and get right in. This place we were able to skip the long line. That was a big plus. This place will take you hours to get through the buildings and the outside park. You cannot take pictures inside the museum, but you can outside by buying a photo pass.
Be in mind that is not open all days. Check the calendar before going there, because is a expensive boat ride.Saint Petersbug main atractions are worth a long visit. This is probaly the city that has everything in the way that you will never forget.
A photographer's paradise as so much to see and enjoy in this location.Located on the coast of the Baltic Sea and a high speed hydrofoil trip back to St. Petersburg.
Soooooo much gold leaf. It really is glorious. In the sunshine the glittering can really mess with your camera exposure so be a bit careful. The fountains are truly spectacular as Peter the Great wanted ones that didn't have to hand pumped as he walked by. Check out his very modest little "bungalow" where he retired with the first Catherine the Cook. Allow several hours to stroll the gardens.
One of us got lost in the park. And cold showers ran down the spine of his wife cause the park is sooo huge. Numerous fountains from the largest Sampson murdering a lion to timy tricky fountains.
The location and gardens are spectacular, and the hundreds of fountains and statues make a day spent in the grounds truly wonderful. The house and artwork are amazing but also not to be missed is a visit to the bath house and kitchen
Another museum to make part of your preferable list in Culture. Este é outro Museu a considerar na tua lista se te interessas por arte!
4 stars only not to spoil the rating of this respected sightseeing. The truth is that one should go there during summer time - when fontains work. However, even though we were informed of that we decided to go to get at least some impression as all our friends who were lucky to see it in summer consider it to be the most impressive sightseeing in St. Petersburg
The Great thing about the Peterhof Place, is not the Palace itself, but the Gardens, full of fountains and fountain games which reflected Peter the Greats playful character, this place is a must if you are in the city for 2-3 days. Also you can catch a hydrofoil there from just outside the Winter Palace, so it is a pleasant and traffic free trip there, which really increases the appeal in the Summer
Huge collection of art. It is a visit through History. We had learnt a lot about the rich old times of Russia there.
