The pond in the map is called Harvard Pond or sometimes, Brooks Pond. The roads around the pond and forest are absolutely beautiful to walk with only one problem. I can't rate it as excellent because the area around the pond has a large population of ticks.
The museum building includes expert explanations of the area's progression as a forest. Clear explanations presented by university professors. Focuses on the Quabbin Reservoir and watershed areas. Nicely done.
a diorama of area forests and lands through the years. Several hundred acres of maintained forest trails to enjoy.
The first is beautiful and peaceful, bit what i found most interesting is the evidence of experiments in progress by the Harvard school.
