Kinda hard to get a table, but they have bands on the weekend and fresh, high quality beer on tap and in the bottle.
Come and visit the very first beer industry in Brazil: Bohemia. I have to confess that I have never been a big fan of Bohemia but this tour made me change my mind straightaway. The tour last around 1h30 but you can easily spend more time there. You have amazing rooms where you can interact by playing games, making your own personalized shield, take pictures and of course learn a great deal of information about the history of beer, since its invention, its endless types and brands all over the world. I was impressed with its production process, explained step by step, throughout the many floors of the factory. Of course we had a tasting, of two types: Pilsen and Confraria- the latter is rarely available in bars in Rio. By far my favorites were Confraria and Weiss. At the end of the tour you can enjoy some snacks and more beers in its bar/restaurant by the entrance. I can say that I understand more about beers now, both in practice and theory. If you are in Petropolis or nearby, do not miss it. If you are in Rio, have a day trip on a Saturday or Sunday to get to know this jewel.
This is an extremely modern museum. I don't even like beer, but I found the exhibits about the history of beer and how it is made interesting.
By the name of the attraction, you presume you´ll only visit the instlations of a brewery. When you start the visit however you´re surprised to see it´s realy a museum where you learn the histroy of beer production in the world and in Brazil and the substances that have to be mixed along the process. You also visit the original and then the modern instlations of the industry and,, best of all, you´re invited to drink recently produced draft beer and dark beer.
Went to CB because the husband wanted to go. We were very pleasantly surprised! Well organized, very helpful staff, lots of interactive things that both our children (age 10 and 13) and we enjoyed. We learned a lot about beer! And got to taste too! In the gift shop we bought nice glasses that the staff wrapped up well in protective padding, så we could bring them back to Europe unharmed. Would actually go back to CB if we travelled to Petrópolis again.
It`s an incredible experience regarding beer history as well as a very pleasant place to spend time with friends & family. Beside amazing experience regarding beer tour they also offer beer workshop which include an amazing harmonized lunch. Furthermore, they have an amazing restaurant with several food option in the top floor which provide you an amazing view from the town. They also have a bar with good snacks!
Mueseum was very modern and informative. Portuguese and english. Two sambles of the bohemia beer which was very good. There is also a restaurant and a bar there, both looked very good although we didnt try.
We had our kids with us so we didn't have to wait. They kindly took us out from the line up.But it's a popular place so be ready to wait before getting inside.People are very kind, the visit is very interesting and interactive at the end.Highly recommended!
We went to visit the oldest brewery in Brazil. They did an amazing job with everything. Super interesting, you can interact with the exhibit. Top quality stuff. Guides that speak English. I would suggest not taking the kids since they cannot touch anything (only adults can touch). I was amazed by this place. Totally recommend. After the tour, it is worth going to the bar outside and having some appetizers and of course beer!!
The tour was probably a bit elaborate for my taste but if your new to beer and want to learn how its made this is the place to come. Also has a nice restaurant on the top floor.
