Our family went here recently to celebrate a special occasion. The owner and staff went out of their way to ensure it was a memorable experience. Excellent service, delicious food and wine. The view of Pilot Mountain is spectacular. It was so great that some of the family returned a few days later with out of town guests. I will definitely go back.
My wife and I heard about this winery late last year so we were looking forward to its opening. Beautiful grounds with great views of Pilot Mountain. The inside of the tasting room and restaurant was very classy. We did a tasting and all the wines were served in separate glasses. Never seen that before. Samantha did our tasting and she did an excellent job describing the wines. The wines were good. Looking forward to more dry reds. We were fortunate enough to be able to eat at the restaurant. Amber was our server and she made it a great experience. Food was great. We had a great time and we will definitely be back.
We visited between Christmas and New Years. The setting for this winery is just beautiful. Lots of scenic outdoor seating, bean bag toss, gazebos, all overlooking a pond and Pilot Mountain in the background. The tasting room is very elegant, and is set up right in front of their open kitchen. We purchased some of their wines. Then we went to their small on-site restaurant, which is again very scenic and beautifully decorated. The food and service was excellent. They also have a small cabin on-site that is for rent We will be back again, hopefully we can enjoy the outdoors more when the weather is warmer.
Eventhough we showed up and the place was closed on tuesdays, we bumped into the owner/manager whom gave us a phenomenal tour of this pristine winery.Meticulous and passionate about the process of wine making JW went the extra step to make this impromptu private visit unforgetable. We got to peak at the charming "honeymoon chateau" as well as the exquisite restaurant facility which will command for us to come back.We got to taste some of their first production and I must say the jolo chardonnay is a splendor as well as the rose.
A gorgeous setting with a wonderful pond on the property. We visited the winery and I must say that everything was in immaculate condition from the entrance to the winery itself. What was a pleasant surprise was that there is a restaurant onsite that looked wonderful. Although we didn't take the time to eat, we certainly have it on our agenda to visit the restaurant on our next visit. We'll return for sure sometime in the future.
We heard about this vineyard and stopped by to see what it had to offer. The environment was excellent, the wine was clean and crisp, and the service was delightful. We decided to stay for lunch. We ate on the patio and had a very pleasant experience. We will definitely come here again.
Finally got a group to try this place out. Pretty impressive but they were trying too hard to be upscale. White gloves are not really necessary. The servers were a little too uptight. Its a winery. Let's be relaxed and enjoy the food and wine. The piano added a nice touch. Overall the food was good and the wine was okay. Its a place that everyone should try at least once.
There are so many place to sit and enjoy a view of the vines, the lake, Pilot Mountain and the hills. We were here for a Chamber After-Hour gathering. We enjoyed a white bean and a Greek Salad appetizer crostini. I tried two of the white wines in order to purchase a glass. I could see a lot of people were enjoying the Sangria including spooned fruit. Check their on-line presence to see the actual working of the wine preparation. We'll be back for a wine tasting later and maybe lunch.
So many wineries are supplanting flavor in favor of sweetness. J.W. clearly knows the difference. We are not fans of dessert wines, but even those are attention-getting. He offers knowledge about his wines without insulting your intelligence despite the high-end atmosphere. The Jolotage might be the best Red Wine produced in North Carolina. It's not sweet, but but it possesses such a complexity of flavors that it will fool a sweet wine lovers palette. This winery gets my highest recommendation. It is "all that. "
This is a new winery with a restaurant and set up for special occasions and functions. We had a company function there and it was enjoyed by everyone. Buildings and facilities are new, location and view of Pilot Mtn was great. The chef has only been there for a couple of months and came from Napa Calif. The dishes he selection for our function were great. Look forward to trying it for lunch or dinner.
