The summit is a great bar with daily changing menu of not only hand crafted cocktails but now a farm to table centric menu as well! Many of the ingredients are sourced from the owners garden, cured in house, or seeped for periods of time. This is a steps from the top of the incline on shiloh street and by far the best place around. It's time tourists get off the beaten path of chain restaurants and get up the mountain first, not after they had a bite and drink.
this is a 'must see' when visiting the BURGH. This overlook has a great view of the city. Ride the incline while you are at it.
Take the incline and enjoy the view.....bridges are great from up here. You can get good pictures and if you are willing to spend money you can have a fabulous meal at one of the restaurants.Very enjoyable.
Visited the incline at Mt. Washington during a weekend getaway with my husband. Rode it up on a whim after dinner in the area and I am so glad that we did! The view of the city was just gorgeous. The lookout at the top is great to capture amazing photos. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the city.
if you want the most magnificent view of the city at night, go into Monterey Bey Fish Grotto and have a seat in the bar near the windows....best view ever! i have a framed photo i took from this very spot in my family room. It can't be beat.
This place is virtually free for anyone to enjoy the panoramic view of Pittsburghs three rivers and more.
Really awesome view of Pittsburgh, great in any season. Most of the time you can go there and not be too crowded. I gave it a 4 star (or green circles) only because it's more the backside of Pittsburgh, which I'm indifferent about. But for the sake of an overlook, having the most recognizable side would be a hair better.
Cannot beat this view of Pittsburgh or any other city in the country! Very romantic. Be sure and take one of the inclines up and down as well.
If you want to get a magnificent view of the City of Pittsburgh take an incline ride to Mount Washington. You can stroll the sidewalk, eat at some fine restaurants & get a wonderful if the city from the observation decks that jut out over Mt Washington. It's wonderful place for picture taking
Daytime or nighttime are great for a magnificent view of the Ciry of Champions! Great view of the tree rivers and a bustling downtown. My favorite though is the nighttime with the city all lit up and if you can be there for a fireworks display, a memory not soon forgotten!
