Very unique museum, even for someone who's not that interested in cars. There was a good variety of cars and all had been restored nicely. There was also a video to watch while sitting in the comfort of a sofa for those who didn't want to walk through the museum. Historical records were located in one area of the museum for those interested in Illinois history and genealogy.Admission is free but donations are welcome.
Our first stop in Pontiac did not disappoint. This museum is full of beautiful cars and interesting displays. Our teenagers were amazed at all there was to see. The staff was so welcoming and told us about many other area attractions. Loved it.
Another of the great museums not to be missed when in the Pontiac area. Owners are so nice. My husband and brother-in-law even got a ride in one of his antique cars. They are still drooling. :-)
This is a relatively small car museum, but all the vehicles are well restored and presented. There were good directions in the form of painted footsteps on the pavement from the main museum and the people in the car museum were very welcoming. It only takes a short time to look around, but is worth the stop.
One of the world's greatest collections of Pontiac and Oakland automobileartifacts.Antique and classic cars, printed items, car parts, original design drawings.Great hospitality. Very impressive. 205 North Mill St., Pontiac Ph# 815 842-2345
We were so surprised to see the impressive collection of cars and memorabilia in this wonderful museum. The friendly staff added to the experience. We would totally recommend this.
It was smaller than I expected but what they did have was very nice. We went the weekend of the Pontiac Car Show which was a bonus!
This place is really neat! In ireland we don't have any of these types of motors so was really fun to get to see them all up close! They have little Route 66 VIP packages inside too with a badge and it has really cool discounts for shops and restaurants around the town! It's an awesome souvenir that's completely free! Loved this place!
I like cars, period. They have it all. Literature, memorabilia, and CARS. Always changing and never the same old thing.
