There was plenty of parking, although a huge parking lot, but a shuttle was available if required to deliver you to the door. The place inside is large and very busy, sometimes several people waiting for a slot machine. There are two bars but the front one was very busy serving orders for the restaurant, so the back bar was the best bet for a pint or pop, and they served some minor food items as well. I thought they could space out the machines a bit better, or at least make the ~walkways~ wider because moving around was a challenge. All in all a fun evening but probably not a place I would go back to unless I was in the distinct area.
I like going to the Port Perry casino. It is situated next to Scugog (which has nice bass/muskie fishing). Tend to hit the poker room and I do call ahead. When I do get to Port Perry, I am usually next on the list and don't have to wait. The dealers are good and the staff are nice. It is north of Whitby and still attracts a decent crowd. The only thing is no craps
Lots of fun, but play safe, after cashing in your chips take a stroll to the excellent buffet, but be hungry, plenty of choices to choose from, salad bar, roast beef ect.. desert everything is good enjoy!!
This is not a great place for a dinner out. The buffet is paltry and amateurish. The food is mediocre at best, and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired, as well. Obviously, not my favourite place!
Casino very convenient to Hudson Cuddles B&B - had a wonderful time - lots of different card games at this casino
We won but did not win enough. It was clean, busy with plenty of energy. It was very close to our accommodation.
Thought we would try our luck. While the slots weren't kind to us, the staff was pleasant and it was a generally happy atmosphere.
This is not a big casino but it seemed to be doing a brisk business! Really didn't have any trouble finding a machine to play, although found if you wanted specific ones it would be best to come in off-peak hours (mornings). I don't play the tables but they do have a fairly large area for the games. Also ate a the restaurant and was pleasantly pleased at how inexpensive and very good the food was. Really nice breakfast buffet and good dinner menu!
Any casino you travel to, you like to have a couple drinks and maybe a snack. There's a bartender here, don't recall his name (but let's call him "Mr. Knowitall") - he kind of ruins the entire place for us. We like to have a drink and a bite, then grab another and hit the casino floor. Problem is, he won't serve you until the clock hits one hour from the first pour. He's slow, he's unattentive, and he's always there. The casino itself is fine, nice place, cool design - but if you get spoken down to by some 20 something bartender for wanting a coors light to play the slots - kind of makes you wonder why you didn't just head another few minutes to Rama, with bigger facilities, better decor, and no judgement on 2 glasses of beer!!!Realize this sounds petty - but we rarely get out, so when we do, we don't need this kind of hassle.
Unlike rama they do not give you freebies like the buffet if you frequent here quite often. the buiffet is pretty good but is starting to get expensive especially if you dont eat a lot. But they do have a menu you can also order from. slots are fun and there are quite a few as well as the card tables and other games tables. A fun place if you want to kill some time and like losing money unless your one of the lucky ones.
