Had hoped for more antiques and less flea market, as the sign looks upscale. But the sign does indicate it is a place to "pick" ... pick and choose, perhaps.
This place is crammed with stuff - most of it you can live without. Nothing outstanding - just the run of the mill castoff from grandma's attic or dad's garage. Lots of glass wear and jewelry, some books, knickknacks and furniture, even some new outdoor furniture and used children's clothes. Everything is priced at the top of the retail market so don't expect any bargains here. If places like this are your thing - you may want to go back occasionally to see what is new. But going once was enough for me
Although the place is huge, it is crammed full of stuff. There are some isles that you can barely walk down and other areas look almost empty. We go on a regular basis to see new stuff that has come in.
Lots of items to look at. Make sure you have more than an hour to browse. Its a big place and they have a little bit of everything to look at it. Antique's, furniture. and more.
The Pickers took over an old manufacturing facility with huge floor space - the largest in the area! They have a tremendous assortment of vendors and booths with just about something for everyone. A great way to spend an afternoon!!
Heard good things about this place. Went to check it out today. As others have stated, it is very large. That said, there isn't much there really. I collect antique glass, specifically Fenton. There were a few pieces available. I couldn't find any Mr. Peanut or decoy ducks...my other collections. Prices were comparable to any other 'antique' store. Not much by way of bargains. Worth seeing once, probably wouldn't make the trip back.
This place has everything from baby stuff to major household goods...new, aged or antique. They now have started auctions. You may consign with certain vendors, just please read closely the agreement because you will end up getting less than 50% of the original asking price. There is a fee per item then there is a % of the sale. That goes back to the individual vendor you consign with...NOT Prattville Pickers, they are out of deal all together.
Lots of treasures in comfort and organization! Everything you can imagine and more! Antique furniture, all sorts of kitchen utensils which are my favorites as well as new items including decorative crafts are all under one roof and it is air conditioned! They also offer consignment service if you have some items that you want to sell.
This huge building is crammed full of treasures, both large and small. There are some excellent buys to be had and one can just walk through the aisles for hours! It's definitely worth a look while in the area. We try to go regularly to see what's new!
Yes this place is hugh. And open 7 days a week. So that means there is a lot of everything. Which appeals to all types of folks. So group/friend picking can be fun. There even is a Habitat for Humanity booth in the back - good to check out their donations and building supplies. Don't be afraid to take your treasure find up front and ask for a better price, they have to call the dealer to check.
