The drive to Sky City is almost as impressive as the destination itself. Be prepared to spend the day here walking through history and listening to the stories of the craftspeople. We had a fabulous tour guide. The day was beautiful for pictures and we had a fabulous time! The only thing that was not mentioned until we got to the top was to bring water... but a clever salesperson on top did have water for sale! I highly recommend this site for anyone visiting New Mexico!
JoniDischner, Thank you for your review and for visiting our Pueblo of Acoma! It is good to know that Geri our tour guide provided you with an enjoyable tour and that you learned of our history and that you took a small piece of Acoma with you (pottery). We hope you can make it to one of our feast days in the future!
Sedro Woolley, Washington, Thank you for your review and I am glad to hear that your visit was well worth the time and drive! It is also good to know that our guide provided a good historical review and provided insight into our culture. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future!
JVAuditMom, Thank you for your review and for visiting our Pueblo of Acoma "Sky City". I am glad to hear you had an enjoyable tour provided by Robert our tour guide. We hope that your children learned a bit of the Native American history of the Land of Enchantment. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
Ellen4719, Thank you for your response and I'm glad that you enjoy your visits every time you come. We will start restocking our Gift Shop for the season and look to have a variety of art work available for purchase; most of the art work will be on cosignment by local artists. The local artisans do sell their work at resonable prices much less what you would pay for in Santa Fe. We look forward to your next visit.
CalGal34, thank you for your review and for visitng our pueblo! It is good to know that our tour guide Geri provided a good history and readily conveyed the story of our pueblo. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future!
We brought our friends from Canada here for the tour, which was outstanding. If you have an interest in history, Native American culture, or the beautiful New Mexico Landscape, you will enjoy this place. Our Acoma guide, Brandon, was very knowledgeable and friendly. If you visit, be sure to call ahead to ensure that the Pueblo tours are on that day, and remember this village is still home to many Acoma people at even though it is nearly 900 years old. An incredible place with an amazing story.

livin42day, Thank you for your review and for visitng our Pueblo of Acoma. We have been here for a long time, some of our pottery have been dated back to 950AD. "Haak'u" our name for our pueblo was given to our ancestors which means "a place prepared" according to our emergence story.
