My husband and I have been to Seychelles and in particular Praslin four times over the past view years. We stayed at Paradise Sun Resort (see my review on 17 July 2014). The resort offers sundowner cruises which are absolutely amazing and take you to Anse Georgette for a lovely dip from the boat into the crystal clear water. The view from the boat to the beach is breathtaking! The white sand on the beach in contrast with the aquamarine Indian Ocean at sunset was a sight to behold and ensured wonderful everlasting memories. Not to be missed!!
Lovely beach. No facilities and very little shade. Book 1 day in advance with your hotel to ensure security let you through. We negotiated with security without a book and they did let us through eventually. It's about a 20min walk through the golf course to the hotel. Some people managed to negotiate a lift in a golf buggy. It was fairly hot work but worth it. Sunset would be nice here.
People name it one of the most beautiful beaches in Seychelles, but I went there and it was so rough and full of giant waves so we didn't bother to go in. Not much shadow there and its 20 minutes walking in a long up and down way. Anse Lazio is better.
Beach is great, very wild, gorgeous, but it is not easy to access (20 minutes walk up and down the hills), no lifeguards and really rough waves/strong tides.... So great to visit once, but Anse Lazio definitely beats it up by many points.
Good for sighting turtles hatching and enjoy the smooth white sands in a serene atmosphere. Just loved it.
Definitely must on Seychelles. So fabulous beach (its part of awesome 5* hotel Lemuria Resort). Pretty nature, rocks, white sand, clear sea good for swimming. And not so crowded like Anse Lazio, We made almost one hundred photos in this incredible romantic area :)
It is difficult to reach (either long walk through the golf course of lumeria resort after getting permission a head of time or from the sea through boat). The reward is that amazing small and almost private beach with white sand and pristine blue/green water. Be careful of the waves and drift currents so plan neither to swim nor to snorkel. Bring enough drinking water with you since there are no official shop on the beach although there are people who sell coconut and fruits. There is no reception of cellular on the beach so on one hand it is good for relaxation but on the other - You need to plan a head with the Taxi.
Anse Georgette has few pros, and many cons.Pro's:It's a pretty beach, with very clear water, and plenty of fish for the snorkeller's.Cons:The Lemuria has been allowed to restrict access so you have to book ahead. Then visitor's need to walk around 30 minutes to get to the beach. The beach is small and as it faces north, by 10.30am, shade is at a premium. Then the boatloads of day trippers arrive. The poor souls get dropped off with their boat returning in a few hours while they have to stay at a tiny beach with no shade. There's no cell phone access, and no food or drink. Prepare well. There are no facilities either. We saw plenty of people sneaking off into the bush to go to the toilet ... ewwww. I think people only go because it has been restricted by Lemuria so it seems elite. It's not. It's tiny, over-crowded with no facilities so the bushes are used as a toilet. Nowhere near as good as Lazio.
