Theater does not get better than this. Original creations, and original recreations of long time favorites. Broadway casting and direction. Enjoy!
TRT is a true neighborhood gem - wonderful productions and not a bad seat in the house! Each production I've seen has been a quality production in an amazing venue. Jazz in the summer is another unexpected bonus.
Strong production, first rate acting and comfortable space. We really enjoyed ourselves. Worth a trip to Red Bank.
Although I love the music and the actors were extremely talented, I found this classic - "Camelot" lost a lot of its character by trying to modernize it to the point of boredom.
A great vibrant productionfeaturing young talent, and a viewpoint that will appeal to younger adults. No cornballtights and big flowing gowns-an edgier, energetic approach.A "Rent meets Game of Thrones" vibe, that focuses on the love triangle between rhe 3 main characters. There is also an interesting talk back w the actors after some shows. Sets, costume, sound design etc, are all Broadway's and Regional theater's best. And the actors are Equity actors, with King Athur, a well known actor from London, making his first U.S. appearance.Highly recommend this show, and you can have an inexpensive dinner across the street at the Galleria, before.Thank You Two Rivers Theater!
This was my first time visiting the Two River theater. We were pleasantly surprised to find a modern, small and intimate venue. Just by chance we discovered that they have a pre theater talk an hour before each show. This was very interesting and a nice bonus. I live about 45 minutes from red bank but will go back.
Two River's CAMELOT, running through the 21st, is memorable: the performers have remarkable singing voices, the three leads have real chemistry, and the conception pares down the musical in a way that allows the audience to experience its sublime essence. And there's that glorious music. Two River Theater is one of the great professional theaters in New Jersey--as good as New York, indeed. I've seen Shakespeare here (MACBETH, MID-SUMMER NIGHT's DREAM, HENRY V) that also allows the audience to experience these plays without cob-webs. And Noel Coward's PRESENT LAUGHTER was better than it must have been originally--a comic feast.Go: The theater is as good as I am saying!
The productions this year were very disappointing and we are considering not renewing our subscriptipn
This is a great small theater. There are no bad seats. We saw Camelot and the actors were exceptionally talented. The sound system is great and the live orchestra a delight.
We were here for a show in March were very impressed with the place. It is a perfect size for a local town and every seat was a good one. Ample bathroom facilities and helpful staff
