Love to go here to pick raspberries and apples. Also enjoy the store with pies, preserves and many other goodies. and now they have wine too. Love it but wish it was organic!
I have been coming to the Grieg farm for over 2 decades, and I am still as enchanted with it now as I was on my first trip. Of course it has changed over the years but the changes have been nice (although I do miss the quaint style store they had many years ago) but I love coming with my own children mow to pick apples, white raspberries, red raspberries and whatever happens to be in season, and then taking my kids to the cafe afterwards for a wonderful late afternoon lunch. The area is serene, peaceful, and the farm itself staffed by warm and friendly locals. I would recommend going for a quaint family afternoon outing.
Best blueberries I have HAVE tasted!!! They have other fruit as well. Beautiful location and friendly staff. Don't miss this gem!
Nice place in the countryside to pick your own strawberries and other in season goodies. Not to far from Kingston. Prices could be a little cheaper since your picking your own, but oh we'll it is 2014.
The farm is a place we have been visiting for decades. This year as well as last the crop of berries is virtually non existant. The ground does not have water lines which were always there. Instead of a wonderful experience it was a waste of time. I guess if you like apples its still ok.
My family anxiously awaits the beginning of each picking season. Our favorites are blueberries and strawberries. It's a family and friends activity that we all enjoy! The scenery is beautiful and peaceful and the berries are a good value. Staff is always friendly!
My wife, four daughters and grand children love going to greigs. Blueberry picking is fun and usually the blueberries are plentiful and easy to pick with plants about feet high and numerous well tended rows to walk through. I have always seen numerous irrigation pipes throughout the blueberry patch. The only complaint we have is it is not unusual to have our peaceful wonderful time communicating with nature and god's beauty and bounty semi ruined by loud people constantly on their cell phones.
This late in the season all Macintosh apples were already on the ground, but there were many other varieties ready to be picked. They let you fill up a good size bag and charge you $20. Not a bad deal, but not a steal either. The berries were already gone in October, but the time was just right for the pumpkins. They have many. Very nice property too and it is dog friendly with a lot of well kept grassy land to run around and play. Sometimes they have a farmers market there as well. Nice place to spend an afternoon if the whether is nice.
Greig Farm was reasonable with lots of berry trees to pick from. They didn't charge for parking ( which some do) and they were friendly and polite! Great experience. Awesome few hours picking blueberries and they are DELICIOUS! The pigmy goats close by were adorable and the kids had a blast feeding them!
My husband and I have been going to Greig Farm for several years. Blueberry picking, raspberry picking, and apple picking; Greig's orchards and berry bushes are well-kept, there's a ton of variety of fruit. There are always families at the orchards; kids have fun.
