Left Coast Cellars grow their own vegetables. What food had ripened determines the menu. The chef is amazing and creative. And we had a grape leaf with a pansy flower for a garnish. I was with a group of eleven and every person was pleased with their meal. Do save room for the desserts. I had the lavender pound cake. It was fabulous. The server also did a wine tasting for our table. She was knowledgeable and entertaining. The ambience was peaceful. Do take time to walk the grounds and enjoy the serenity.
Left Coast Cellars was a delightful winery to visit. Our host, Diane, was knowledgeable about the wines and we enjoyed getting to know her and her story. Our favorite wine was the White Pinot Noir. This was our first time trying a White Pinot Noir and we were impressed! There is a tasting fee, but one fee is waived with purchase. The setting of the winery is beautiful and they have a small cafe as well. It is the perfect location for a mid-day tasting and snack.Highly recommended!
Great low key spot to stop while wining and dining through the Willamette Valley. Food is high quality light fare, but the real winner are the libations. Great small production winery to go out of the way for.
great stop on a wine tour of the Willamette Valley...nice tasting room
What a wonderful way to enjoy tasting wines of the Willamette Valley. Left Coast has indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy their wines and a variety of lunch items. The four of us enjoyed the 2011 Truffle Hill Pinot, two of their specialty sandwiches and quiche dishes and the brie artichoke fondue. All exceptionally good.
Most of their wine is good, but not knock-you-socks-off amazing. Good, approachable, drinkable wine. Pinot gris is probably their best, though some of the older Cali's Cuvee (2006) is awesome. Cafe is decent but menu is limited. Good mac and cheese and turkey panini.
Trying to take advantage of living near by Left Coast was our first Oregon cellar. We were not disappointed. Informed staff but very friendly. Took several reds home.
Farm fresh and innovative food though plenty of options for just plain good foodPinot Blanc and Pinot offerings Very nice. Pinot Gris also goodMy daughter who is allergic to bees was stung and the staff and fellow wine lovers were so concerned and helpfulI also met the owner in Bend and was delighted to hear. How passionate about her winery and wine. Classy and sincereWe will visit again soon.
Left Coast's estate has some scenery, some technology, some walking paths and of course, some great Pinot. Based on my short visit and flight tasting I look forward to returning. My favorite wine was Cali's Cuvee '12 which I highly recommend. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable during our visit. I wasn't able to see much of the grounds while I was there but I would like to return to see the walking paths and more of the estate, as what I did see was very pleasing.
This is a favorite place to stop for lunch and a glass of wine. Lunch is simple but how can you go wrong with the surroundings and good wine?
