We spent $24 to get in, I think it was reasonable for 5 ppl. Grandkids had fun and adults had a great view of natures finest. Another week or two and I'm sure it will be packed!! :)
I think for an attraction like Lake Geneva they need to do a better job in making a better swimming area for families to bring the kids. The sand is dirty and littered with debris, they charge to get in for beach where you can only go abouyt 5-10 yards out. Not worth the money at all. Fontana beach on the other side of the lake is better but they also charge a high amount per person and you have to walk on A LOT of rocks very painful for about the first 10 feet just to make it to the sand. Lake Geneva needs to a better job overall in improving their swimming areas it is a serious after though and charging a ridiculous amount to use the poor beaches is an insult.
Attended our friends wedding at the Riviera Beach Club. It was amazing. What a setting. I don't think I have ever been to a more beautiful location for a wedding. Even had fireworks over the Lake.
What a Great facility! We had about 170 people in this historical 1902 ballroom.... plenty of room. Beautiful location on the lake...has been updated and everyone raved about the facility. Catering was top notch. Band and acoustics were good. It was walking distance to several hotels and near nite life after reception was over at midnight.
Very nice with lifeguards and I think you need to buy a pass to enter.$6?Adjacent to pier and shopping.
I went with my husband and had a good time. The water is very clean and they have a shower outside to clean off the sand which is a plus. Downside is that you have to pay. Overall it was a good experience, better than Lake Michigan.
Nice clean beach area with a wonderful location but very crowded. Get there very early to get a good spot or otherwise you may not get a spot.
I love beaches and have been on quite a few in my long life. We live about two blocks from the Lake Geneva beach, so probably we aren't the best critics. It is crowded on the weekends (they say the city's population goes from 7500 to about 15000), but we usually go during the week and often late in the afternoon. It is a small beach -- about 50 feet deep and maybe 500 feet long -- but very pleasant and across the street from restaurants, a block from Main Street and local shops.
The beach is in a key location of Lake Geneva. We like to hang at this beach/park area. walking distance for food, coffees, summer goodies. Great location just to watch the boaters. Fall time is wonderful too. There were swimmers up until the first week of October. Its hard to say good bye to summer when your up at this location...
I am a long time fan as I grew up on/in this lake. It;s now time in my life to bring the grand-kids here to enjoy what I took for granted for so many years as a kid. Yes times have changed and municipalities need to find sources of income so I was surprised when we had to pay to use the beach. Wasn't like that when i was a kid! Guess I'm getting old. The water is still clear and you can still see the bottom in many places. The sun was good, the sand was clean, not to overly crowded. First time users of the automatic dispensing system is a little intimidating at 1st but we made it through the process. Just a loss of more jobs in my opinion. But enough on that subject. We had a great time that day and need to thank the staff that works so hard to make the beach the way it is. THANK YOU!
