Bought a Groupon to see if this would be something we'd want to do on a more regular basis-lots of friends had talked about going with a picnic lunch and it sounded lovely. We picked the jazz festival Sunday so that we could bring the kids, relax and enjoy. Tasting room is beautiful but they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the people they had there. Don't know if it is because we had a Groupon but our service was much lacking compared to the other couples around us. Had to call our pourer over several times to continue our flight of wine. Very little was said about each wine unless we asked questions. Only ended up with 7 of our 8 pours before we went downstairs to the music tent. The server down there was terrific. They had a farm stand set up with yummy sandwiches. Will give it a second try and hope we get better service .
This was just your average winery, nothing special. Most wines were over 30.00 a bottle. Staff was knowledgeable and not pushy to make you feel like you had to buy wine.
It was a very nice place. I love their wine tasting room. The stuff very attentive and friendly. I bought more tickets to come back soon.
We came here for a groupon deal, and were very pleased. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and there was no pressure to rush or to buy anything. With the groupon, we got the extended tasting with 8 wines, cheese, crackers, and glasses to take home. The groupon was DEFINITELY worth it.I would've liked having a place to sit down during the tasting (the only seats were outside and down a staircase), but otherwise it was very nice.
We visited Unionville Vineyards on a bike tour. It was an enjoyable day and worth a visit. Wines are good, but not great.
We used a Groupon - $44 for 4 people extended tastings with 2 blocks of cheese and 2 bags of crostini. Nice deal. Our pourer was friendly, and gave us extra pours above the 8 on the extended tasting. Wines ranged from OK to good, and cheap $15 to expensive $52. We bought a few bottles and brought a picnic lunch to eat outside.Nice time, considering this is NJ and not Napa or Sonoma.
had a great experience at unionville vineyards...personal tour and a fun and very informative tasting! all with a free voucher from chimney hill estates bed and breakfast...a perfect weekend in the lambertville, new jersey area! check out this tour and tasting...they are very serious about their wine!
We went for our second annual birthday club. The service we received from all staff especially John, was unforgettable. Everything was so nicely put out we all had a great time. We will be visint again.. May go to the May 10. 2014 festival. Looking forward to returning. We had 8 tasting with all the bells and whistles. They also had local cheese that we ended purchasing. Our group also purchased extra wine so that we can enjoy after the tasitng. The information that was given to us during the tasting was also great. A+ for our experience
Attended a wine mixing class with a group. Was an interesting experience. Wines were good. Service was attentive.
First, I thank all of our visitors for coming out to see us and for supporting Unionville Vineyards, along with our fellow New Jersey wineries. Eat local, drink local. And good luck to anyone with a GSWGA passport! At Unionville, we believe in fine winemaking. We grow our own grapes and harvest them by hand. Our winemakers use both the art and science of winemaking in crafting each wine. We value our land, our team, and our wine. We strive to provide the best tasting experience. Our tasting room is in a historic barn. The building is older, and the space is large. Thus, it is sometimes difficult to keep cool, especially in the heat of the summer. I am glad that you enjoyed your experiences at neighboring wineries and hope you will give us a second chance next time you are in the area.
