Learn and see a working mill. Browse the gift shop and have a home cooked meal. Their cornbread is good.
Seeing a working mill with water wheel was a treat, and so were the wonderful natural foods on sale inside--unusual jams and stone ground flour and meal of various kinds. There's a cafe and gift shop on the upper floors and nice scenery outside. I'm glad I stopped by and would make it a point to stop there again if in the area.
Get fresh stone milled food products. Tons of trinkets and appropriate memrobelia. View is unique. The war Eagle River truly runs the old stone Mill. Great place for kids.
The view around the Mill is beautiful and the shopping was great in the gift shop. Yummy food in the restaurant.
This historical building is located near Hobbs State Park near Rogers Arkansas. Be sure your visit is not in the winter months as the Mill closes for the season right after the Christmas Holidays. They have a nice little general store and gift shop along with a small café with local "eats". Its nothing over the top but a nice stop if you are in the park area.
A steel bridge leads the way to the beautifully painted red War Eagle Bridge. The building and bridge reflect in the still water beside the mill. The autumn leaves of nearby trees also cast their image into the water. The War Eagle Fall Craft Fair draws many vendors who come to sell their homemade works of art in pottery, paintings, clothing, wreaths, jewelry, and so much more. Inside the mill, there is a small gift shop upstairs. There are three flights in all with no elevator. I found interesting rock candy in small sealed bags to take back as keepsakes for two of the grandchildren who live close to us back in Indiana. Ground corn meal was available for purchase, but we passed on buying any as we were heading home by airplane.
Can not go there without having beans and cornbread in the restaurant. Beautiful view. Great craft show venue.
Great place to visit lots of history great little cafe and some great value gifts and goods to buy well worth a drive out
Love this place. Great place to explore the old history of Arkansas. The lights were still up from Christmas, sun setting, absolutely stunning place. Would recommend for pictures. Great gifts too. Staff very friendly. Did not eat there but would love to go back to try it.
Enjoy the drive on route 12 from Rogers to War Eagle Mill cross the river on the one lane bridge stop and look up and down the river and imagine how it looked 50 plus years ago, then turn around and drive back looking at the mill as you head East again....go inside and put yourself back in time again, shop in the store and climb the stairs to enjoy grits, eggs, bacon, homemade pies and desserts, look around the walls and listen. If your lucky you might see an eagles soaring above the war eagle river valley. In my humble opinion it's worth your time to stop and step back in time and enjoy the War Eagle Mill.
