The website says up to 250 pounds but I'm 6 ft tall and 170 lbs -- I'm not fat, just tall -- and some of the platforms were hard to reach because the lines sagged so much from my weight. A friend of mine did the water zipline and she was dragged through the water instead of just "reaching down and touching the water." The ziplines just do not hold the weight that they advertise. There are only 2 long zips - which were awesome - but the rest are pretty short and none of them are very high off the ground so the overall experience was lacking. On the plus side, the guides were delightful.
My husband and I went on a date here and truly enjoyed our visit. My husband, the adventurous one, immediately upgraded to the Dare Ya but I wanted to sit it out. However, because of the patience and kindness shown by Stevie and Chris, even I built up the confidence to do it and had a BLAST! As everyone has said their employees are their biggest asset. I can see where those more experienced may not be challenged currently but they have so many plans in the works so I say give them a month and check them out. I look forward to enjoying their current amenities and seeing what else they have in store in the very near future. Many thanks to Stevie, Chris and Justin for a memorable experience. Highly recommended and will return.
We had never ziplined before and this was an excellent first experience. The guides were very friendly and supportive and were not cavalier about our concerns. They taught us everything we needed to know and continued to remind and assist as needed. Our only regret is that we did not get the helmet cams. Video of our experience would be awesome. The ziplines are not real high off of the ground, and this is an asset to people who are not experts at the sport.
Drove down to Daredevilziplines from Cleveland, TN for my husband's birthday today. We purchased a Groupon for the zipling/obstacle course. I had never been ziplining and am not such a fan of hights. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! They pride themselves on the speed of their ziplines not the height. Steve and Elli were our guides and they were helpful, funny, and great. To respond to some of the other comments and reviewers...yes, you clip yourself on the lines, but they are there to help and there is a training session at the beginning. Yes, it's in the country and this is a "country" zipline. And yes, the office is in a small shed-like building. ..who cares! You are only in the building long enough to to sign in.Overall I would recommend this business and plan on going back myself in the summer when we can participate in the Z Hawk and blob courses!
I have never been zip lining so I wasn't sure what to expect. The property is beautiful and well kept. They offer discounts on groups. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They educated us fully. They took time with my family and made our experience so incredible that my son is wanting to have his birthday party there, which they happen to provide. Overall, we could not be more pleased and look fwd to our next trip.
This was my family's first time zip-lining and we had a blast! We drove from Memphis, TN after a friend from high school recommended Daredevil. Our guides (Chris, Jason and Stevie) were awesome! They were friendly and made us feel welcome and made sure we felt safe. The Z-HAWK is the best one!! They also told us they were adding new things and putting a Blob in the lake soon!!!! We also learned a little history about the area as well! I would recommend this place to anyone! We already have plans to return this summer!! It was well worth the drive!!
We were greeted by a group of Stevi, who made our visit much fun. They have someSexy thighs. The obstacles and zip lines were really fun. We didn't encounter any problems. The platforms were perfectly safe. Our children aren't stupid, so they were able to clip themselves into the eyelets with no problem.
I bought a Groupon for 30 minutes of zipping but that is very misleading! You only go down 2 zips for the dare ya ziplining then they try to up sell you to the obstacle course. If you are driving from the Atlanta area like I did. It is not worth the time or money!
This is a good place for a first timer or a family. We had a birthday party with 12 year olds, and that was perfect. The course is short and while not challenging, certainly fun. There is a do-it-yourself element that I have not seen before in a zip & obstacle course. This more like a ropes course really. Since you only go to a height about half of tree level, I believe the danger is minimized. What is improtant? The kids LOVED it. SInce our kids were experienced, they love dthat hte staff was so friendly and hands off. I suggest if you are nervous to let them know to pay extra attention to you.We also did the upgrade fast zip over the lake. That was as good as any zipline I have seen, super fun, and I was able to dip my hand into the water. Again, danger is minimized since you are flying over a lake. This a grassroots, local operation. Family owned and run. We had a great time!
Customers Reviews allow us to make improvements where needed and answer unwarranted criticism honestly. The Zipline office you visited is merely a satellite office of our bigger operation, Belle Terra, LLC. We Have restroom facilities available at our main office, but we provide porta-potties in the Zipline field. We will speak to the agency that is responsible for the maintenance of those 5 units, to let them know of your dissatisfaction with the cleanliness. Safety is, of course our primary concern. Our lines are inspected everyday and conform to industry standards. The lines have a weight limit of 14,400 pounds; and consist of over 100 individual wires so you are fully protected on them. All of our other systems have at least one back up system included which exceeds industry standards. our safety record is excellent. We have literally thousands of very satisfied customers. With over 30 lines and 7 Thrill rides, we are one of the largest Zipline operations in the state. We are in the "woods" where it makes sense to have Ziplines.
