This was a great trail! We are avid bicyclists and this trail provided a relaxing, enjoyable ride with a great view and a mix of sun and shade. We biked from Lewes to downtown Rehoboth Beach which took a total of 55 minutes including some stops for pics. The ride back was the same time frame. Great way to spend the day getting some exercise and nature!
With the Gordon's Pond Trail open, you can ride from Lewes to Rehoboth Beach with minimum time on the roadway. The Junction and Breakwater trail scenic.
You can ride between Lewes and Rehoboth beach using each of these two trails Combine them for a 15.5 mile round trip ride that is beautiful!
A friend told me about these trails, and they do not disappoint. Nice big parking lot near the outlets, and ( near Bananna Republic) the outletshave a bathroom facility right there. I've run, walked, biked and taken my dogs for walks. Well maintained, well marked, and in the summer quite a few shady trails. I've never felt unsafe, as there always seems to be a few runners/ bikers. Great place to get out and enjoy a little nature.
Not a long trail but a nice way to connect Rehoboth and Lewes if you take the coastal trail via Cape Henlopen State Park. Surface if crushed limestone.
You'd never know you were in the heart of a busy resort area; it seems more like a state park. Beautiful woods, tidal overview, and fields, along a very well groomed paved trail, ideal for families, bikers, and walkers.
This trail is largely flat, but has some gentle slopes. Mostly wooded, you would not be comfortable with skinny street tires on your bike. The views of the marsh are lovely and the trail is shaded. At the Lewes side, you end up in a development. From there, you can make your way to downtown Lewes (on streets until the path is completed) and cross the bridge to get to the Gordon's Pond trail to complete a full loop.
We just happened upon this little gem Cannot wait to ride our bikes from Rehoboth Beach to Lewes and then back!
This trail continues to evolve. The path on the old train bed is fascinating with flora and fauna , and the route over to Lewes keeps improving. It's FLAT, of course, which makes it easy to ride and talk.
Nice trail with lots of nearby parking. If biking, you can ride from Lewes to Rehoboth Beach or vice-versa.
