Been to the Ocean City Museum and liked this one better. Wanted more stories from the bad storm in 1962, should have gotten their DVD. Liked the logos of the boardwalk, menus and the gift shop which had nickel free earrings.
The Rehoboth Beach Museum has awesome galleries to look at. There's plenty to see and also very kid friendly. The temporary World War II gallery has a lot to see and there's plenty of history about Rehoboth too. Definitely a place to visit.
The museum has done a great job in telling about the history of Rehoboth Beach. Summer visitors will enjoy what it was like at the beach in earlier years (40's 50's 60's 70's). I have always known this was a great place to live.................I was born in Rehoboth Beach ( that is correct, there are no hospitals in Rehoboth) and went to school here. Enjoy and have fun.
A trip to the Rehoboth Beach Museum is a must-do for lovers of this resort. There is so much to learn and the exhibits are excellet. The exhibits change a few times each year and are well worth the effort to visit. The building is beautiful and easy to find. The parking is free! There is a small fee to enter but well worth the price!!
It was a little difficult to find parking for this and the visitors' center because the farmers' market was going on when we went. Inside the great guide gave us a quick overview. We strolled around, seeing the main room to get a good understanding of the area's colorful history. The temporary special exhibit of wheeled toys was beautifully displayed and clearly captioned. I recommend stopping in here on your way into town, especially if you are first time visitors like we were.
This is an excellent beach to chill and relax on. I love this place. All my friends come here and we spend entire days at the shoreline here.
We love this museum! It has the history of Rehoboth Beach, of course. but so much more. This time it had many examples of bikes and cars over the years. Did you know that the first bike had wood tires? There is also an exhibit of CAMP Rehoboth memorabilia, with many examples of their publication, LETTERS from Camp Rehoboth. CAMP is the heart of the LGBT population but serves all people of the Rehoboth community with many services. The exhibits change frequently so there is always something new. There is no fee but they do ask for donations. Come visit!
This is probably more interesting to people who already love Rehoboth Beach as opposed to being a tourist attraction. It's a beautiful building with a lot of great photos and items from the past plus changing exhibits.
