In the high end of our price range (it was $130 including wine, tip, etc for the two of us) but was an excellent meal. We shared the calamari, each had the BLT salad and the crispy flounder. Everything was very good, and the flounder was delicious. They have figured out how to serve a whole (headless) fish and make it effortless and bone-less eating.
Lots of history in this beautifully restored old home. Food was very good, especially the fried green tomato salad and the fried flounder.Wine prices are quite high!.
My husband and I went to the bar in the basement, sat by the fire and had drinks and apps. Wonderful.
Great ambiance, great cuisine, great service!!! Be sure to ask about the folklore and legend of "Pinky & Pete!"
Stumbled upon this place after a late night walk remembering the reviews from Tripadvisor. It is worth the visit to the downstairs travern. It reminded me of the Brotherhood on Nantucket Island. Candle lite, beamed ceiling, fireplace and piano player taking requests. Afer a few drinks and a little personality we strolled around the resturant and was educated by the friendly staff about the history of this establishment. We told a few people we were the Kardasians and took a few photo bombs, which was a hoot.
table wasn't ready so we got a tour and a history lesson, we sat in the upstairs study, such a romantic room, service was amazing and the filet was to die for, def will be going back
My second visit to the cozy bar downstairs. Love it! So historic and romantic and cozy. Nice bartenders and very attentive staff!!! Food is fantastic and the drinks were made well. Enjoyed the history of the building and ambience. Go visit !
This was a great meal, would have been perfect had it still been hot by the time it got to our table. The kitchen was a little hike from our table. The wait staff was exceptional! Food was a bit pricey. Be sure to tour the house before you leave
Always very busy and a different concept of eating in a different room of the house. We ate in the master bedroom which only had about 6 or 7 tables in it. It was fun but the food was just ok. My husband was a little disappointed in his fish and I totally missed that my lobster tails were fried.
We came here as it was ranked #1 on Trip Advisor. We were unable to get a reservation until fairly late, and when we arrived a few minutes early, we were shown to a bar in the basement until our table was ready, which was about 15 minutes after our reservation. We seemed to have a number of servers at first, but we did get our wine and our order taken. Once we were assigned our particular server, I found she was hovering a bit and she was a little too chatty, but friendly and knowledgeable. The food was very good - we had their special friend green tomato BLT salad, the mahi mahi special, flounder, and soup and a wedge salad. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is very quaint, but I found somewhat casual for the prices. I would have preferred a more formal environment, but perhaps that's what it's like in Savannah. I do recommend it, but it wasn't one of my absolute favourite restaurant experiences
