Trevor was so informative and interesting to listen to. The presentation was organized and professional. Trevor is a scientific genius and was an absolute wealth of knowledge. Fun and educational for all
The unique experience here was there was enough of the stars that you can really see the constellations in the open air. It was such a different feel from a planetarium setting. Our "guide" Dave was vastly knowledgable and he made it easy to understand for the first timer but kept it interesting for experienced enthusiasts. He was patient and very nice. Going in the middle of winter it was cold, but the chairs, blankets and parkas that were big enough to fit over a heavy coat made the experience very enjoyable. The telescope viewings were truly the icing on the whole experience, I never thought I would see the Horse Head Nebula first hand (it's not what you think it would look like- but exciting all the same). Thanks guys for a great treat! I would recommend this to everyone.
Really enjoyed looking at the stars. The guide seemed knowledgeable. Downside was hiking though a soggy field to get to the place. Make sure to bundle it up. It gets really cold at night.
It was a cold February night so make sure you bring gloves and dress warmly. We had Trevor has our guide and she was knowledgeable, patient and shared a wealth of information about the universe. A special thank you to the owner, Cliff, for accommodating our need to switch nights due to an unforeseen dinner delay for our anniversary.
Get outside the city a little bit and you can see some amazing celestial views. Out near Doe Mountain or Fay Canyon is our favorite spots to star gaze.
No matter where you are in Sedona, the stars are BEAUTIFUL! Even right outside our suite door, we could see so many stars that we never see here unless we head for the mountains!
The stars are out in Sedona. In the sky you will have the time of your life enjoying staring out at the night sky.
Just outside of town it is plenty dark. Best time is waning to new moon. You will see billions of stars. Milky Way visible late Spring to Fall time. Check star apps for times.
This was an amazing thing to do! I loved all the information that they gave you on all the different types of stars. Over all the sky was BEAUTIFUL and the people were knowledgable and nice.
It's a little ways out to the designated area but we honestly enjoyed the drive. We met our fellow star-gazers and were assigned to Rick. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions- even cracked a few funny jokes. We saw many different things, including Jupiter and the moon which was my favorite. He then gave us a tour of the constellations and told us a few stories. It was honestly wonderful. Definitely worth doing. He also provided us with parkas, blankets and chairs for the cold weather which was much needed and very helpful!
