Take a time warp to the golden years of this beach amusement park town with this attraction. Fun for the whole family and gorgeous carousel. Mini models of the town from the prime of coasters on the beach.
The restored carousel was at the Beach many years ago and has been restored and in operation. $2 a ride, many artifacts from the 'old days' and it's all free! A great place for kids.
My husband and I were at the Carousel and Shadowland Ballroom for a wedding in August. The wedding was expertly catered and the carousel was open for rides! The Silver Beach Carousel is a wonderful piece of local Michigan history and the sunsets from the carousel can't be beat. Michigan beaches are among the finest beaches in the country. It is the perfect place for a family vacation or a couples retreat.
What a gorgeous carousel!! The employees were kind and informative about each animal on the carousel. Each animal has a story! The haunted village was adorable!!! They also offer cotton candy, carmel corn and soft drinks to purchase. Nice stop!
The carousel is kept very clean. The atmosphere is fun. You can purchase popcorn, cotton candy, and snacks. The price is cheap too, $2 per ride.
I have been there many times for events, with my nieces, and even just driving by the beautiful building. It delights people of all ages.
Exquisite detail has gone into this attraction - all for $2 a person! My grandson also loved the "Halloween Train" set up. Great job!
Assume, just love these old style carousels! This is a old fashion, romantic place to take a date. pretty painted horses.
Loved that they had a box of accessories for you to wear while on the ride. Lots of memorabilia from the old amusement park to look at around the carousel. Snack bar right there sends popcorn fumes through your nose for a real amusement park feel. Kids love the chalk outside to make a piece of art. Definitely can't wait to bring the kids back.
My father, son, and I went to St Joe the day after Thanksgiving. The Carousel is located next to the discovery Zone and when my 6 yr old caught a glimpse of it he was very excited. The area surrounding the carousel is decorated for Christmas with miniature villages and trains. He really enjoyed looking at everything going on in there very stimulating for small kids. It is also inside so on a cold day at the beach it is worth a stop. Not to mention for a couple bucks you get to ride. Not bad, just watch out for the concession stand they got me for an extra $10 but it was worth it.
