Although a smaller museum, the mustang exhibit was extensive and educational. It explained the history of the car on its 50th anniversary, presenting road cars and race versions. It was a great way to spend an hour if you are a car person.
Terrific small automobile museum. This exhibit focused on 50 years of mustangs. Highly recommend -... We had seen a Bugatti exhibit several years ago. Nice and not overwhelming.
Like - good reuse of old factory, interesting cars.Dislike - kind of pricey for a fairly quick visit. The children's area upstairs is not great. One more for real car enthusiasts I suspect. Good location in a beautiful park though.
We toured here during the huge Hemmings Sports and Exotic show event, and were quite pleased with what we saw. Ford Mustang's were the featured marque inside the museum, with many fine examples represented, and best of all we chanced into a docent who was really well informed regarding the exhibit, how it came together, the cars being featured, and really many things automotive. Well worth the effort, search this place out for a pleasant auto-experience. The property itself is huge and part of an expansive network of parks & museums found in and near Saratoga Springs. We're looking forward to returning ...
Great museum. Friendly staff and always a nice selection of vehicles. The volunteers are always offering more background information on the vehicles displayed. They really know how to make you feel welcome.
Nice museum. Some very cool cars. If you are a mustang fan, they certainly will have what you are looking for, it is Mustang time at the Museum.
Beautiful automobiles - fitting with the Gatsby era of the resort. It was a very clean and quiet museum.
When we visited there was a display of about 20 Ford Mustangs. The guide walked us around and told us about each one - I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Just enough cars so I didn't get bored; and didn't have to spend all day. Great staff.
The S.A. M. has two floors. The lower floor will be dedicated to the history of jusyt one type of vehicle, with the top floor being autos from all eras. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang. The Mustangs range from early 1964 to the 2004 SVT Cobra. Some Mutangs are:1964 1/2 Pre-Production.1965 Shelby Cobra GT 350.1965 Shelby 350 Racer.1966 Shelby GT 350 H.1970 Boss 302.Upstair vehicle are from a 1909 Paterson I cylinder to a 2011 NASCAR Kurt Busch Dodge. Most of these vehicle are allowed to run 2-3 times ayear on a nearby closed street. The vehicle are lined up end to end, not crowded, giving plenty of space to photograph any vehicle. Most vehicles have an information stand, if no stand, a staff member will get any information for a visitor. On the second floor I counted at least 18 vehicles. These vehicles include:1931 Pierce-Arrow Phacton.30's Franklin Airman Sedan-owned by Charles Lindbergh.1935 Maserati V8 RI Walkins Glen Racer.1936 Ford Phacton.1936 Chevrolet Modified Racer.1956 Ferrari Bardaaaaaaaahl Special.Mark Kinser Sprint Car.The two staff members I met were very knowledgable about all types of vehicles. A visit may last only one hour, with my stop about two hours. This included time with the two staff members and photographing most vehicles. Plenty of light for photographing.A visit is recommended.Jack L., Syracuse, New York.
Inventory of classic cars was a bit smaller than I was expecting but the staff was standout, pointing out interesting facts or directing us to various exhibits to get the most out of our visit.
