If you're a beach lover, you must visit Britania Islands. Crystal Clear waters. I recommend you travel here Summer time Apr/May. Cause when we went here last year December 2014 the weather was not that good but still we had the island hopping and it was the highlight from our Tour Package!.
Visited the group of islets last February 1, 2015 with the group of Valencia City Barangay Treasurer's League. Get ready to be enchanted with the place. We find it so amazing, magnificent creation of God.We enjoyed the whole day island hopping and the travel was so worthy no regret having to travel for 12 hours from Valencia City Bukidnon.
Sand, Sea, and Sun completely sum up these islands. It's its own paradise. Not so known among tourists even by Filipinos, it's kept as virgin as possible. Went to three islands, Hagonoy Island, Naked Island, and the Grotto. Each island offers white sand stretches of beach. Waves at Hagonoy Island and Naked Island are strong as they crash into the white shores. With little to no people, Hagonoy and Naked Islands are more like sand bar stretches that are remarkably beautiful for their own kind of natural peace devoid of any mechanical and urban sound. The sky meets the sea in the horizon and stretches as far as the eye can see, the waves crashes onto the shores, and the sand meets your feet as you leave your footprints that gets washed away as fast as you left them seconds ago. At Grotto Island, locals harvest sea urchins that we bought for a price of PhP20 for a small plastic bag full of sea urchin meat which is perfect eaten fresh as they are with a quick dip into vinegar. Walk around Grotto Island and reach the left end (as you dock on the island, facing the island, to your left side) where the white sand is powdery soft which makes it seem like it melts into the water. During low tide, you can walk over to the connected bit of sand patch, but the bottom of the connecting stretch can be a bit stony due to the white bit of crushed shells/corals. La Entrada Beach Resort is the best place to stay at San Agustin (take-off point to Brittania Islands) and is set among elevated wooden platforms among the mangroves that are actually out to sea already during high tide.
We had a wonderful time swimming in the crystal clear waters during Island hopping. The waves were big at Hagonoy Island but we enjoyed the splashes of the waves by the shore. The islands has white fine sands with broken seashells so wear your swimming shoes.
the beaches are very nice and you can choose on which beach to stay longer..... you may need to negotiate for a boat rate but they have standard price range for boat rentals...
It's pretty much all sun, sea, and sun. Enjoyed swimming and walking along the shores of the Britannia Islands. Not a good place to go snorkelling.Things to do:1. Get there early (around 7 AM).2. Apply plenty of sun screen. 3. Go swimming.4. Take pictures. 5. Eat and have a good laugh with friends. Nothing much to do here. A 2-hour tour is enough.
small islet with gently sloping beach of fine white sand. You can just lie down on the sand and let the water wash over you as the waves rhythmically wash into shore. Or you can go swimming. The water is very clean.
Wonderful islands to visit but cleanliness is beginning to be an issue. Remember that there are no comfort rooms in the islands, doing a number 1 is easy by dipping in the sea, number 2 would be a problem
wow nice place no need to go somewhere else ... if you are local in this place please take care of it.. stay clean and love your own. hmmm be there soon again.. wait for me then ehhhehehehh
Enjoy swimming and island hopping. But snorkeling is not the best activity you could do here. Too bad most of the corals are dead and destroyed. Starfish and small fish are present though.Hire a boat from 1000-1500, good for 4 islands. We were 7 in the boat.
