Recomendo.
Museu bem montado e bastante moderno.
First of all - pack a cardigan. The aircon in there is up far too high. But that's the only negative. It's small but packed. They have Pele's entire footballing history there, in almost every format. You can take your time and find out all about him, interesting facts and quotes. There is lots about each World Cup he has participated in and they also have an interactive hall.
Worth a visit, lots to see. The interactive zone wasn't fully functional when we visited and it is a little sycophantic in terms of how worshipped Pele is, but what do you expect in the Museu Pele!??!!
Old building renovated cleverly to produce a light and open museum, spread over 4 floors accessible by steps or slopes. The museum proved to be really interesting for both a football fan and my wife, a non football fan. Pele's history is well explained from childhood to current day. We were able to get a good understanding of how important he is to the football loving people of Brazil and how his achievements are unlikely t be bettered. To see many of his medals, awards and other pieces from his past was a privilege. There is also an interactive area to add more amusement and to get pictures and souvenirs. We were glad to have visited the museum, having taken a short and inexpensive taxi from the cruise port (and much cheaper than a cruise excursion). The taxi also meant we could arrive before cruise tours and therefore had the museum, initially, almost to ourselves.
Modern, great setup. On the right you have the interesting part about the life of Pele with photos films and personal belongings. Everything in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Excellent! In the left building there is an interactive part great for kids to loose their energy, cinema and large photos and artwork section of Pele. Between the 2 buildings a gift shop and a coffee shop which is not yet open. Bathrooms are clean, wow !!You need a min of 2 hours to see it all but it's well worth it.
This place was awesome. They have multiple floors of Pele/Brazilian soccer history. I received admission as student, which was 9 Reals (about $4 USD). It was well worth the trip. There is an interactive area as well which was awesome. The shop is overpriced, but that's expected. Buy your memorabilia elsewhere, but definitely come here for the experience.
The Pele museum is fairly interesting and a decent enough way to pass an hour or two on a rainy afternoon in Santos. At 36 reis I found it expensive for what it was, especially as the football museum in São Paulo was 5reis each and much more extensive.
