I was very blessed to experience yoga, qigong and journey dance with Tammy at New Life Foundation in Chiang Rai, Thailand in March 2014. Tammy has a calm energy and I felt very supported during her classes and was able to relax and flow. Tammy is a sincere soul who practices the loving-kindness she is teaching. In journey dance, I experienced a deep release of emotion and a powerful sense of community, love and freedom. Tammy gives very clear instructions and brings a unique, light-hearted approach to these practices. I love her scissor lunge leg changes in sun salutations!!! I am inspired by Tammy and feel encouraged to step deeper onto my own path of yoga. The impact that Tammy has had on my life has rippled far beyond the time in Thailand. For this I am eternally grateful and recommend a retreat with Tammy to anyone wanting a loving space to BE!!!!
Tammy is a fabulous instructor and a funny alround lovely person and now a dear friend. Bali mtn retreat was a great venue and myself and my daughter 12 yo will do it all over again the next chance we get. Xxx
I met Tammy at New Life Foundation in August/September 2013 she was leading a retreat with an American chap.Tammy shone through with her passion for the Art. I was just finding my Yoga passion and was a relative novice. Tammy inspired and encouraged me to really grasp the true philosophy of Yoga. I was a really ignorant of the true meaning of the practice. With being a young, head strong, boisterous, British male; Tammy (#somehow!?) through talking, caring, listening and above all inspiring me to really take to the practice. Almost a year on from first meeting Tammy and living back home in the UK I know regularly train at Yoga. In front of Youtube or at the local studio or gym. In fact I have just arrived home from a Hot Yoga session as I write.Yoga is a practice specifically for my individual performed benefit without judgement of myself or others. Yoga continues to fill my spirit often. Thanks Tammy for inspiring and dispelling all my predetermined misconceptions.Eternally grateful and thank you for your continued friendship! One LoveWILL B (Cheshire, England)xJFTx
I was lucky enough to take multiple classes from Tammy at Kalani Retreat in Hawaii. Tammy is magnificent. Her loving presence creates space to dive deep into yoga and self-growth. She did such a great job of seamlessly accommodating all levels into her classes. If only she'd stick around so we could take her classes all the time!
I had the great pleasure of meeting Tammy in the Fall of 2014 when she was in residence at Kalani Oceanside Retreat on The Big Island of Hawai'i. She brought with her several healing modalities to offer to our community and I was fortunate to experience several of them. I wasn't able to attend her first TRE® (Tension, Stress and Trauma Release) workshop but after hearing people talk about their experiences, I was so intrigued that I scheduled a private session with her right away. She gently led me through several exercises that triggered involuntary tremors, mostly in my and around my inner thighs, which provided a soothing sense of tension release. She also provided me with a pdf of the exercises via email which allowed me to practice on my own after that. Journey Dance was a guided and free flowing creative dance expression; part meditation, part shamanic healing. Very enjoyable as was her Restorative Yoga classes. However, it was the Inner Dance that rocked my world. I went to the class not really expecting much as it sounded too simple and similar to the Ecstatic Dance that I'd been doing for years. At the time, I'd been struggling to process a lot of deep sorrow and emotions but was having a difficult time breaking through the thick walls of protection I'd built up around my heart. Tammy and her helper, Radha, did a beautiful job of providing a safe and loving container for us and proceeded to share an intro video that gave us the overview of the practice. What seemed so simple somehow wound up being the trigger for the release of the emotions that I'd been stuffing down inside of myself for a very long time. My body literally swirled and twirled around the room with out me forcing it and the cleansing tears that I'd needed to shed so badly were finally released. I remember sleeping better that night than I had in many months. I'm so grateful for having been gifted with that experience and would recommend that if you ever have the chance to work with Tammy, do it! She is beautiful inside and out. Mahalo.
I feel very blessed to have met Tammy at New Life foundation. I love yoga and Tammy's sessions were the perfect combination of physical exertion and a peaceful, stress release for the mind. She led us seamlessly through healing postures with really positive and helpful guidance. Tammy is such a lovely, friendly and happy person. Not only did she provide satisfying and accessible yoga sessions, she introduced me to inner dance which opened my eyes to the amazing possibilities of energy work. Tammy has a relaxed yet professional style and I missed her and her sessions so much when she left! Thank you Tammy - I hope to join you for a retreat in Bali one day!
While at Kalani in Hawaii I attended Tammy's TRE, InnerDance and Restorative Yoga classes. I enjoyed attending Tammy's classes very much as well as getting to know her. I love how she makes all of her classes very inviting!
I took Tammy's Restorative Yoga class religiously during my time at Kalani Oceanside Retreat. I always left her class feeling healed and whole. She is an incredible teacher - graceful, empathetic, human and knowledgeable. I also took her Qi Gong class overlooking the ocean - WOW. What a beautiful way to start the morning or slow down and relax after a long day.I would 100% recommend Tammy and her retreats to anyone looking for healing, self-exploration, or simply an escape from every day life. Tammy is a competent teacher that truly cares about her students and walks alongside them on their journey to wellness.Thank you Tammy for bringing your magic into my life. :)
I went to 2 of the Inner Dance workshops with Tammy while she was at Kalani. Although I didn't experience the same effect as some other people there, I did feel like it was very beneficial. I was I had attended more times than 2 and feel that I would of been able to drop in easier. At times I couldn't help but open my eyes to see what was going on around me and I was blown away with the releases that other people had. Some shared their experiences at the end and some didn't. You can't fake what I saw on those 2 occasions. I am a firm believer in what Tammy does and look forward to her return to Kalani. She is a very positive person and always had a smile on her face. Mahalo for all that you do Tammy.
I had the pleasure of having Tammy as my Yoga instructor at New life Foundation for 2 weeks in 2013,each lesson was comprehensive and at times creative(not always the same old moves)...excellent sense of humour, encouraging, and feel i was always guided in a way that I've got the moves down!!,I've been practicing yoga on my own since, and Tammy's guidance continues to say with me...,not just a great yoga teacher but an amazing soul
