Nice Academic Buildings for A Small College. The Bookstore Small Amount College Apparel. The Guys Dorm Was In Repair For plumbing On Our Visit. The Girls Dorm Narrow Walkways. The Town Is Small But Many Things Do Across The Bridge.
We went on a college tour with our son at LSSU. It was very well organized, very personal, and exceeded our expectations. The grounds were clean and beautiful, the staff was kind and helpful, and the experience was very positive. They went out of their way to answer our questions. He was able to speak with admissions, someone from the Nursing department, and the track coaches. Very impressed!
My husband came for a conference. He said he was very impress with the compact and efficient campus. The conference was well organized an likes having the president o the university hosting them and giving them some history about the university and the campus. He said te food was amazing at te campus and overall he will come back for another conference.
For a small university, LSSU projects a friendly & caring atmosphere. Both my wife and I have attended special events and concerts at this community minded university.
Small campus with well kept grounds and buildings. Great recreation facilities with hockey, basketball, pool and walk/running track with nice area with fairly new exercise equipment.
my older child is interested in LSSU. We had a personal visit and meeting with the assistant director of her program. Everyone we met was extremely nice. They have their act together at this school.
My wife graduated from LSSU in the mid 80's and we hadn't been on campus since 2004 so we took a self guided walking tour. The view looking across the St Mary's River to Canada is scenic and the fall foliage was colorful. The campus is compact so there isn't sprawl. We enjoyed my wife's trip down memory lane.
First, I know NOTHING about the academic offerings of this university. However, I've stayed next door to campus at the Holiday Inn Express several times, and have both driven and walked through the campus. It is a very small place, but there are several interesting sights. Plus, the grounds are very nicely kept. I was amazed as to how neatly everything was trimmed and there was a noticeable lack of litter on campus.
I attended LSSU, and had a great time, but this is listed as an "attraction". I guess the Art gallery is open most days in the summer, the small geology museum is available on a few days and by request, there some decent taxidermy in Crawford Hall, and there are a bunch of neat older buildings from the days as an active military base. If you are interested in attending, visit the Hillside house (aka Admissions) to schedule a tour, or just walk he grounds and explore. Make sure to check out the book store for some souvenirs.
everyone was nice we just wanted to see all we could of sault ste marie nothing fancy close to a nice park
