The moment you cross the threshold, the soothing fragrance of lavender washes over you. This is one terrific little shop. The gal working there at the time of our visit wasn't the owner, but she was super friendly and very helpful. We made several purchases and were pleased to find items you just don't see anywhere else. Well worth a visit!!
This is a great place if you love lavender! The owner had samples to taste of vanilla cookies with a hint of lavender, as well as a large assortment of lavender products. I purchased a bundle of dried lavender for my mother-in-law who has been looking for that for several years. The store smells amazing and they do a large amount of internet sales if you decide you want to purchase something later.
Local made Lavender soap? Yes, please. This was a fantastic shop with lots of Lavender related items, but also quite an extensive collection of local artisans work. The place just feels good. From the friendly owner, to the delightful smell of Lavender, to the fun art throughout the store. Definitely will visit again.
When we parked in the upper parking lot and opened the door the sent of lavender was a m a z i n g! That is what it must be like to be in the Provence Region in France! I wanted to buy everything! There were beautiful handkerchiefs filled with lavender. There was fresh lavender stalks bundled together drying. Shampoos, rinses, candles, shave cream, sugar, EVERYTHING lavender! I cannot wait to come back here. It was a wonderful place to shop!
If you love lavender, as i do, don't miss this shop - it's delightful in all ways!
Only a few, short minutes from Helen, GA is the cutest, little shop,The Lavender Cottage and Garden. Lavender is the main focus in this adorable, little cottage, however you can find other beautiful items as well. Local artists sell their work and there are cute baby clothes, too. Specialty foods and samples are regularly available. The lavender cookies and lemonade are absolutely delicious. Customer service is awesome! So take the trip and visit the store. You'll be glad you did! :-)
Taste tested their lavender infused products , the aroma could be found just walking into the drive area. Lots of pretty items though a bit pricier than expected. Garden very full of blossoms... Nice stop!
The Lavender Cottage had a Lavender Festival, but there was just not that much there to see or buy. They did have a few lavender plants growing, but lavender likes a totally different climate, so they were not too impressive. The boutique was well decorated, the nicest thing were the sticks of lavender wrapped in ribbon. Lots of lavender scented creams. For the festival, you could taste a few dip/dressings made with lavender, there was supposed to be even lavender ice cream, but none was there when we came. A few other booths set up in the parking lot were unrelated and superfluous. It's not worth the trip unless you are a lavender fanatic.
This is a great shop for lavender products. The owner is so friendly and down to earth. I'm a local and love this shop for gifts (and things for myself ;) Judy, the owner, has added other products to just compliment the shopping experience. The only thing I would suggest is to start selling the drawing she had made of the cottage and gardens. Absolutely beautiful. You know if the locals shop here, it's worth the visit
This store smells wonderful. The lavender scent hits you as soon as you walk through the door. They carry a nice assortment of lavender products. They even grow lavender their lavender in the garden.
