Well, I can only rate the gift shop. It's beautiful! A first class attraction in the middle of no where. The Tirmber Frame building reminds you of a Bass Pro Shop or Cabels! Lots of beautiful mounted trophy's, deer, elk, sheep, white tails.............The lunch counter looked like it was serving good food at affordable prices.
Our busload of senior citizens stopped here for lunch and a cave tour. I wasn't expecting much in the way of food, but was pleasantly surorised. The potato and tomato basil soups and the ham and chicken salad sandwiches they served us were obviously homemade and very tasty. I've done a few tours in commercially operated caves and all seem to have one thing in common -- bad joles. This was no exception, but the young guy and gal doing it were both cute and enthusiastic and knew their script
Its fairly inexpensive to go in and it is located right next to the SmokeHole Cabins office so easy to get in. Its an interesting hour to spend and its pretty impressive inside
My wife and I did the tour in August. There wasn't a lot of water due to the lack of recent rain, but the tour was nice...about 45-50 minutes...not too small but not large enough to make this a destination location. Felt it was priced right and good for kids who are interested in caves. Young children may not find it engaging enough for the time they would be occupied.
The cave tour was very nice. The tour guide was very polite and engaging with the group. Plenty of information about the cave and the formations. If you like checking out different caves it's worth a stop. The tour cost $15 for adults and lasted about 45 minutes. Wear shoes with good tread, the ground is pretty wet all over and can be slick in spots.
This tour was more expensive than the Seneca Rocks Cavern and it is a much shorter tour. The tour guide was great and she did an nice job explaining everything. The Caverns are very pretty and the fish swimming around in the one section was nice. The young boy in our group got to feed them. Very nice tour.
This cave is full of history and our guide was very good. From the indian legends to the moonshiners. The cave has many interesting formations and the gift shop is huge and not the average cave shop.
Enjoyed Smoke Hole Caverns. They have a great gift shop area too. Nice tour. Very knowlegeable staff.
This is a fun cavern to go to. It is entertaining for all ages. Tours happen every 1/2 hour, so we didn't have long to wait. It is amazing to see all the damage we have done as humans to this beautiful natural wonder. There are some awesome natural formations, but there is a lot of man-made material in the cave too. We had fun and the guide did a great job, especially with the kids in the group. If you are in the area it is something to do and it is just down the road from Seneca Rocks. The gift shop was huge and fun to browse also.
A very nice attraction. Cave isn't anywhere near the largest, but it does have the 2nd tallest room in a cave east of the Mississippi. Cave guide was entertaining. Gift shop is really nice. Cabins look great.
