I am lucky enough to live around the corner. The mill is a great place to fish or picnic but mainly it is a great backdrop for family pictures.
I was excited to see this, as Sweet Home Alabama is one of my favorite movies. It was very pretty. It had also been raining a lot so the water was high and fun to play in (in several areas).
It is beautiful and historic. Great for photos, picnics, relaxing. No fee. Nature at its best! We did not do a tour but just happened to drive by and notice it. Turned around and took many photos. Make sure you read the sign with the history behind it.
Great place for a picnic and pictures. Grist mill a lake, walking trails and picnic areas. Several very good locations for photo shoots.
It is one of the most photographed spots in Ga. only 30 miles south of Atlanta, Near Peachtree City, Ga.
The setting is romantic and the building/dam is beautiful - wonderfully maintained historic structure. If interested, you can picnic on the grounds as tables/benches are provided in the park next to it. Outdoor access only - open at all times - free to us park.
Its a beautiful redone old old mill that still works. It has a nice waterfall that turns into a stream that's great for fishing. Lots and Lots of photo op places here. we stayed all afternoon and took a blanket and had a picnic, it was a pretty, calm, quiet day. Worth going if your in the area
I always love visiting Starrs Mill. It's a very nice place with a waterfall. It's also a very nice place to have a picnic.
This beautiful area is hidden right off the beaten path. Its worth making a detour if you are in the area. Its really quiet without tourists. Two pretty red buildings a dam with a waterfall effect. It was quite serene.
We stopped briefly to take pictures of the mill. Very beautiful place and easy to find off the main hwy.
