Went their for a game against city rivals and was amazed. Great ambiance, cheap prices on beverages and tickets are very affordable.
this is one of the happiest place one can go to enjoy a baseball game. the people are extremely noisy and every play is an opportunity to rise and cheer the teams.
I am not a baseball fan but what a World Series experience you get watching Licey vs Aguilas! It is unending excitement from the minute you approach the stadium until the time you leave. Fan frenzy is contagious. Cheering, flag waving and horns (lots and lots of horns) are just non-stop. Yes it is noisy but you'll quickly find yourself joining in by blowing a horn and cheering EVERY play...that's EVERY pitch, EVERY hit, EVERY catch, EVERY announcement!! The experience is unlike anything I have ever done before. Baseball games in the USA pale in comparison because they are soooo boring. I don't speak Spanish but I do understand fun...and the Dominicans know how to have a LOT of fun!! I
Yes, if you like baseball you could enjoy a good time here, but it's really about time they get a handle. Fair prices, parking and customer service should have been improved a long time ago.
As a traveler that had been a lot of times to the Dominican Republic I have noticed that such a beautiful country wasn't spared from the economical recess in the world. The stadium needs some work to be done.
The Quisqueya Stadium show the most genuine spirit of happines of the people of the Dominican Republic. Is not only basseball, ist dancing, cheering. Is our most exciting experience, also safety and affordable. Not matter wich one is your team, win or lose, you will enjoy
A must visit in your staying in Santo Domingo. A game between Licey and Aguilas, Licey and Escogido are a great experience. The level is similar to Major League Baseball game.
If you're a baseball fan, this is the place to be in DR. I wound up going twice in one week! Seats are very inexpensive, drinks, food, all the same. The atmosphere is amazing when it comes to baseball fanatics! Apparantly the best team in the Dominican Professional league. Even souvenirs are less expensive than you would find in the States. I bought some fitted hats as souvenirs, a bottle of rum and a bottle of soda to bring back to my seat, some empanadas, some pizza, some beer... spent less in 2 days here than I would spend at one game in the U.S.. Tickets couldn't be any better for their price! For $550 RD (Dominican Pesos), I sat behind the 3rd Base Dugout (that's $13 US!), and to sit behind homeplate, I mean 7 rows back! was $700 RD Pesos (that's $16.50!) try finding a ticket for $16.50 somewhere for any other game lol. Anyway, you'll see players from other Professional Baseball Leagues playing here in their off season, and see some great players you might not see in the US. Great time, must go here... It was great to be able to watch a Pro Baseball Game on my November Birthday!
now every one knows domi9nican LOVE baseball..this stadium its great, confy seats, cold at night, pizza, beer, empanadas, everything you wants theres 100s of ppl selling things around ..you dont even need to stand a go on the back and miss a play hehe
Nothing better for the baseball lovers that to watch a game in the Dom Rep, for sure we love baseball like no other nation.
