this Thermal baths is great to for healthy you can take a bath and after you feel to very relax. Personal is very firendly
An interesting experience but overpriced. The water cures all known diseases according to the advertisements, including some that are unknown to science.
in this resort there are at least 2 locations with mineral pool:- one is the indoor and outdoor swimming-pools at Grand Hotel Varna. Water temp. is about 30 C degrees. If you have accommodation in this hotel, you will have free access at the swimming-pool and fitness facilities. If not you will have to pay for these.- the other is at a outdoor swimming-pool close to the beach and Grand Hotel Varna. Water temp. running in the swimminh-pool is about 48 C degrees. Water temp. in the coldest area is about 33 C degrees. This mineral water has many and diversified medical recommendation. I felt its benefits on my own leg that was a little bit injured on a sky slope !!!!The fees are affordable.
Attitude of the staff, food quality poor, nothing as expected. When we go on vacation we do expect to have some fun. We know there are no perfect places for the money we pay but.... still expect to get better treatment than we've got. Staff yelling at us instead of talking nicely, not frendly at all. In the end when I was asking for a comment card I was told that she cannot give me one because I do not speak english.
We've been to this facility before, we love it, a very relaxing afternoon, water temperature was just right, would love to try it in January!
The water is nice and hot, and we had a bath on December 30 so it was cold outside. But they don't have a dressing cabin or something remotly similar, and the margins of the pool are dirty.
You can smell the pool before you see it. When you do see it the slightly yellow cloudy water added to the smell could be off-putting but open your mind and and relax. The water is beautifully warm and leaves your skin really soft afterwards. We did baulk a bit at the price which, by Bulgarian standards does seem a bit pricey but put into context it is no more expensive than we would pay to use our local municipal pool which is so full of chlorine I am certain it can't be good for us! The changing room attendant didn't look as if she could crack a smile and was no great example of great customer service but we are really pleased we made the effort to find the place and enjoyed our relaxing dip which was rather different when it started to poor with rain. One word of warning - remember to remove ALL silver jewellery before bathing because the sulphur content in the water will tarnish it in minutes (voice of experience!)
We visited the pool in November weather was nice quite a few where there and the water was hot also a smell of the minerals in the water but it was not what you would call a bad smell we found that it was best if you did not be fully in the water all the time sit on the ledge and chill or get out and cool for awhile you can have a beer to cool down if you like obviously proceeds do not go into the upkeep of the place which is a shame it is still the same as it was 20 years ago we stayed for 3 hours and then had a walk locally it is 8lv entrance fee and that is all we paid nobody checking if you had paid for bed ect all in all well worth the visit and will go again the wife is going to book into a cheap hotel for a few days later in November and go to it every day.
