On the top of the Cerro Otto you will find a nice rotating restaurant with a really great view of the whole valley! You just need to sit, relax, and wait for the rotating restaurant to turn to get a view from another angle. From the top you can also do a small trekking to a close viewpoint, if you prefer to see the view without the windows. The way up in a cable car is also interesting.
Nice ride to the top on the cable car and then a lovely walk through quiet woods to the view point at Habsbuerga
Great place to visit to enjoy the views of the beautiful lake but get ready to get very filthy. The dust there makes you come back pretty dirty. It all worth it, though!
No lines. Cable car up and down was litke a sauna. Glass was somewhat distorted/scratched so not terribly good for taking pictures. Views were very good. Hiking available to upland forest. Disco and rotating restaurant up top. After trip down, ice cream spot just behind the parking lot.
We hiked to the top of Cerro Otto by taking the very straight up route right beneath the lift. It is very, very sandy and washed out. We are two very active and fit individuals in our late twenties, and we hike and trek a lot (we hiked for 15 days to Everest Base Camp in November). For us, it was very difficult to make it up the route due to the sandand erosion, and it is a difficult hike. From what I understand, hiking the dirt road takes longer but is much, much easier. The views from the top were pretty of Bariloche and the lake. However, they definitely weren't the best in Bariloche. For the absolute best views, hike/take the lift up Cerro Companario. The views there are stunning!
