I enjoy walking around Coyote Gulch looking at the artwork and watching the artists as they magically create beautiful pottery out of clay, unique jewelry and of course the cafe! They have patio or inside dining. The food is very good and leans more to healthy eating than greasy dogs/burgers! It is very relaxing just to sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
We actually went last year. Cool place. Enjoyed the different food venues, particularly the crepes. Granddaughter liked the face painting. Cute shops.
The character of this art village will be changing dramatically when the developer adds a motel right next to low density residential lots and homes. A shame.
Pleasant bike ride from Red Mountain Resort.Several small galleries (sculpture, painting, jewelry, photos, etc.)Some unique and beautiful art.On the expensive side, but it is art!Delicious and friendly coffee shop.
This is a cool place to pick up art and see beautiful art. We only bought little prints because we were here on business and had to keep moving but we would love to come back and spend time here.
While there is a restaurant and several stores year round, I think twice a year this "village" in the center of the Kayenta development holds an art fair with dozens of booths and artists from all over the SW region displaying their works for sale. This is a beautiful area to visit and the local developer who owns the area has done an excellent job with all the residences that hide in the landscape. My understanding is that he along with the locals are building a performing arts facility in the "village". There seems to be some controversy about building high density condos in Kayenta which could ruin the spacious nature of the development. But, hopefully it will all be worked out.
Creative menu and outdoor seating. Great place to go when out shopping with girlfriends. Service is always a little slow, but it is a pleasant place when you can enjoy relaxing.
Great little village for eating, shopping, and just milling around. Prices are a bit speedy on the items in the little shops but most are unique and beautiful. We have purchased a few items and have been extremely satisfied. Fun place to spend time on a beautiful day.
A close friend & I enjoyed spending a few hours at the Kayenta Art Village in Ivins, Utah. The shop owners were pleasant and some shared information and provided demonstrations. Only saw one place to eat and we had fruit and ice tea. Other diners seemed to enjoy their lunches. The surrounding area is very picturesque. Hope to visit again.
A must see village of artists in Kayenta. Excellent restaurant "Xetava" is our favorite stop for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The artists, who are usually working on their pottery or oil paintings are warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic to share their work with you. I visit this village several times each month. If you are looking for fantastic southwestern art, this is the place to visit.
