Everything everyone here has said is true, the place is beautiful the food is fantatic and the people are really nice. I don't think it matters where you sleep on this resort, all the rooms are all very nice. We did stay in a premimum beach front which we loved. We love the beach and being 20 feet from the water was everything we could ask for. Don't hesitate to book, you will not be dissapointed.
Wonderful hotel. we have never stayed anywhere like it. lovely beachfront rooms. Wonderful food. Fantastic staff and the most friendly and helpful staff we have ever come across in all our years of travelling.
Quiet, very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were always smiling. Food excellent.Idyllic setting on the beach.
The beach at Galley Bay is of course, the beach for the Hotel but be aware that it can be a bit choppy however, it is a nice beach and we had many a pleasant swim on most days.
Well we had our first visit at Galley Bay in May 2014, and we absolutely fell in love with the placeThe room, the beach the gardens, the food, the drink, and the wonderful staff, excellent, the only bad part of our vacation was we had to leave. So we just booked our second trip to Galley Bay for May 2015, and I will have the pleasure of turning 50 while we are there, cant think of a better way to spend my birthday, and my husbands birthday is in May also what a great way to celebrate. Can't wait to see everyone again, see you all in May
the beach is very very nice and there is a certain charme there that i cannot describe. there is a very nice hotel there which seems to have sort of exclusive customers. i recommend to go, mother nature will embrace u!
This is a stunning beach - 3/4 mile long sandy beach which when calm is lovely for swimming and watersports. But you must beware that at certain times of the year it can get quite rough which makes it perfect for surfing, but too dangerous for swimming and paddling.
The Beach is wonderful. Plenty of places to enjoy the sun. Water is crystal clear and the setting is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. There are some interesting places to explore by kayak. The cliff does block the sunset, but that was a minor issue overall.
Golden sands, absolutely spotless, turquoise seas, 30 yards from hotel bedroom door. Watching cruise liners entering and exiting the nearby St Johns Harbour. Sipping cocktails in a rocking chair on the bar patio.
Whilst staying nearby we thought we would go and have a look at this hotel with a view to possibly staying here next year. I was put off by the high walls and top security surrounding this site. We have been to many hotels and resorts in the Carribean and have never had any problems over access. Here we allowed on the beach by a firm unsmiling guard, she had no choice as the public are allowed access to all beaches in Antigua. We went to have a look at the accomodation adjacent to the beach and were confronted by a guard who told us we had to leave, I am not sure what risk a couple in their 60s are!! So, this is resort with very good security, but I think I would find it a bit too enclosed for a holiday!!
