OK, well not a "real" farm by today's standards, but they really let people get up close and personal with a cow, pigs, chickens, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Farmer Liz has been part of the farm for several years and is now on the management team. I'll be sure to share your excellent review with her. Hope to see you at the farm again soon. Remember, come fall all our guest visit the Pumpkin Patch to pick their own free pumpkin!
We have visited Mulberry Lane Farm several times over the past few years and it is always a good time. It is essentially a petting farm, where visitors can get up close and personal with many varieties of farm animals such as goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, pigs, chickens, kittens and more. A children's pony ride, cow milking and hayride are also included in your admission. In the fall, you also get to pick a pumpkin to take home. The best part of this experience is actually going into most of the pens to pet, chase and enjoy the animals. They usually have many baby animals too (chicks, ducklings, kittens, piglets, bunnies, calves...all too cute). There is a small gift shop with homemeade goodies to purchase (like jellies & jams, maple syrup, etc.) They usually have soda and hot dogs for purchase and carmel apples during apple season. There is running water to wash your hands (and many hand sanitizer dispensers) and port-a-potties for use.
Our family went to Mulberry Lane Farm and we really enjoyed it. It cost $11 per person, but I think it was worth the money. The kids get to see horses, pigs, cows, goats, sheep and more. What I liked is that the kids (and adults) can pet almost every animal. It's very hands on. The kids also get to go on a pony ride, milk a cow and feed the goats. I would definitely go back.
When I saw the price on their website before we visited I thought it was a bit high for a petting farm but I thought it was definitely worth the price after we left. The price includes a pony ride for the kids and a hay ride for everyone along with the guided tour of the farm. The tour guides are very informative and taught us a lot about the animals on the farm. During the tour you are taken into the most popular animal pens to interact with the animals. After the tour you can go back to any of the animals on your own and go into the pens to pet them. The farm is just the right size for small kids so that they can see and learn a lot but it isn't overwhelming. All of the pens were very clean and the animals seemed very happy and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this farm to anyone in the area with kids.
This was our 3rd trip, 2nd in the fall for pumpkins. Fantastic place for kids. We will make this trip a tradition every year!
Thank you for your kinds words! We love hosting weddings at Mulberry Lane Farm and feel honored when an engaged couple entrust us with such a special day. We look forward to your visit to our children's petting farm too!
We were surprised at the number of animals and how we could actually touch and hold so many of the animals. My grandson loved the pony ride! Farmer Wendy was a great tour guide!
Thank you for your kind words. We enjoyed having you as our guest at Mulberry Lane Farm and we look forward to your return visit. Remember us this fall during pumpkin season. Each fall admission includes a trip to the Pumpkin Patch to pick your own FREE pumpkin!
I often bring my grandchildren to Mulberry Lane Farm. They love it! Their favorite is always riding the ponies and playing with the kittens. Buying the season pass is a great deal as once you've gone through the guided tour, your next visit you can go to whichever animals you want in whatever order. If you never milked a cow, you must try it!
