I had no idea how much Tobago had to offer in terms of a rich historical culture until I visited this place. It was astounding.I will never take anything here for granted.
Peter Cox is an amazing guide if you're into nature! He knows every bird, plant and historical reference that pertains to the island of Tobago, bar none! He's a really nice guy also, and really keeps you interested in what you're seeing.
Das Museum ist unbedingt einen Besuch wert, viele liebevoll ausgestellte Artifakte. Die reichhaltige Geschichte Tobago's in ueberschaubaren Rahmen.
if your into history you would find it very interesting although it has lost some of the vibes that you felt with the old museum now it has been moved into a new building . the information on the past is quite upsetting when you start reading about the land and people .
This excellent Museum represents a dedicated life time of work by Eddie Hernandez, Tobagonian historian and archivist. Visitors get a well rounded look at Tobago's past, lovingly portrayed in art and artifacts, documents and antiques. Very well put together.
This Museum is situated in the old officer’s quarters at Fort King George high above Scarborough; enjoy the extended views across the Island or along the coast from the cannon batteries of the fort before or after your Museum visit. Museum is compact with Amerindian and pre-Columbian Indian artefacts, early French and English Maps of the Island and surrounding Islands, interesting and unusual collection of military badges / buttons from various time periods most relating to the Garrisons, Forts and local regiments. Domestic memorabilia, marine life and local seashells, worth the 2 $ US entrance fee they charge.
small but intereting museum with many per-colombian artefacts as well as examples from Africa and Asia showing some of the background of hte peoples of the island.
very informative and well set out. If you are interested in the history of the island don't miss this visit.
Snorkelling was lovely. Island Girl catamaran sail was a highlight. Also glass bottom boat/snorkel/swim first class
