We visited Simon Creek and got the full wine experience complete with unlimited tastings of award wines. We ended up buying a few of their wines such as the "untouchable" red wine which is their famous wine. Friendly staff and gorgeous facilities
My wife and I with friends have frequently visited the winery. We love sitting on the deck having a glass of wine while enjoying the view and if it is Sunday afternoon there is also great music. We all think the wine is great and of course we all have our favorite. I enjoy the Untouchable Red. The winery has recently added a cooking class which we attended. The class was a very enjoyable experience. We were served our choice of wine and watched and listened to the chef preparing the food. The chef was very entertaining and the three courses we were served were outstanding. We highly recommend Simon Creek Winery, you will enjoy the experience.
This was my favorite winery we visited in Door County. I wish I remember the names of some of the others we visited, but they were not very memorable. I bought 4 bottles from Simon Creek. Gewurztraminer, 2 cherry varieties, and an apple wine. You could sample as many wines as you wanted. We went with a group of over 8 adults, and they accommodated us quickly at the tasting booth. Prices were about average for a small winery. I would definitely go back, as we enjoyed the visit immensely!
Friendly staff helped us taste a variety of wines with many nice ones in California style. Beautiful Door County rural location with landscaped grounds. Worth a side trip. Best winery of all the ones (5) we visited that week.
This is by far my favorite winery in Door County. It's off the beaten path and the owners are so nice. The wines they make are also very good and they have all kinds for dry and sweet wine drinkers. We've always went in the winter time so you pretty much get a one on one with the owners for tasting and tasting is free.
If Mickey Grasso is playing here on Sunday be prepared for a fun filled time of old time rock and roll as well current hits by request. Of special note are the songs Mickey has written which honor our Armed Forces. ..LOVE THIS GUY!!!
If you need a place to unwind, relax and let the rest of the world go by for an hour or two or three, Simon Creek Winery is where you need to go. An absolute beautiful property with a Chalet type setting and the feeling of being among friends and family. You are greeted with a friendly welcome from their wonderful staff, taste a new wine from their wine bar or enjoy a bottle of your favorite. Stroll around this beautiful setting and observe their fine collection of hand painted wine glasses and unique and unusual wine related items. We are fortunate to have retired to Sister Bay so we can visit Simon Creek Winery on a regular basis year around. Sit by the fireplace in the winter, sit on the deck in the spring, summer and fall and enjoy our favorite wine. Believe us, you can't do better because this is one of the best Door County has to offer.John & Joanne Bush
While Door county "wineries" are increasing in number, a building along a highway is not my idea of a winery. Simon Creek is a bit off the beaten path but well worth the short detour. There are a variety of wines to sample an purchase. Sipping a glass of wine on the outside deck listening to live music is habit forming. I worked at a winery in the Virginia hills a few years back and this winery and setting is just as good. Supporting a veteran owned business is also a good thing.
I have had several cooking classes at Simon Creek this summer and the hospitality has been awesome. Tim and Barb took me in and allowed me to show case my New Orleans flair with open arms. This truly feels like a family. The entire staff as well as friends of them helped me with anything I needed and showed me the most respect. I look forward in continuing my journey with Simon Creak Winery, in my option the best winery in Door County hands down!
A lovely setting even inFebruary with very generous tastings in a most relaxed atmosphere. Free tastings beyond the limit of four and the chocolate port Was really choclately. A must stop for wine lovers!
