We visited with our 2 young kids, and some family friends with kids. Spent quite a lot of time in the kids pool area, which was very good. Lots to do for a good spectrum of ages. The shallow waters were great for our 6 month old to sit up in on his own, and the deeper pool with slide, "rain clouds", and various water shooting things, was great for our 3 year old. There is also sitting areas, change areas with bottle warmers, a fridge, etc. There is also a large pool which is partly inside and partly outside, which is very nice. We did not experience the "cold pool", but I was told it is about 18 degrees Celsius and is quite invigorating. The facility is quite large, but was not very busy on the Sunday that we went. I was also told that in summer, during school holidays it can get very busy, so maybe plan what day you go. We purchased a 2 hour ticket, and was just about right for our family, but with older kids or without kids you could spend an entire day there.
Took a group of school kids there. They enjoyed it but not as much as us teachers. Very nice to sit and relax and use the water jets to massage your feet and legs.
Loved this place when I lived there. Easy to get to from the U-Bahn and it was just so clean and relaxing and nice. It was fun for all there, so many pools and so much fun. Great way to unwind in the great mineral baths. I always went with friends...
Highly recomend a vist we spen 10 hours there and hot area currently closed
To relax and recover energy this is the place where you must visit. Fantastic saunas, naturally heated water in different pools. All year round open and especially a great place to warm up (not chill out!) on a winter's day! Do go ...
Leuze has all you need to relax. Pools at various temperatures, a couple cafés, sauna and steam rooms, and the water comes from the thermal springs just below. There are some outdoor pools as well, and there is an area where you can sunbathe without clothes on. It's a good place to go also in case of bad weather, or on a cold winter day.Bring towels for the shower, a sauna towel to sit on while you're in there, swimming suit (watch out though, the sauna area is textilfrei, meaning you have to take your clothes off there), maybe a good book, flip flops and some soap (when I went, no soap was provided), since you have to wash yourself off before getting in the water. You can get massages at an extra cost, although I didn't do it myself. They don't provide facilities for manicure / pedicure or things like that. I don't have children but the children area seems also very good for the kids.
Winter in Stuttgart might not be the worst in Germany but still it is not pleasant as it is usually cold and rainy. Therefore, Lauze is an excellent getaway; it is conveniently located to the U-Bahn and also has a parking area. The place itself is large and has several pools, including one outside with fountain and cascade to add to the design. The saunas are situated on two different floors ( as far as we understood) and there is a choice between Finnish and Aromatic ones with different temperature levels. It was at first strange to see people walk in and out naked and to jump naked into the cold water pool but you get used to it. You are not allowed to enter the sauna with the swimming suit on but you can cover yourself with a towel. There entrance fee is low but the whole place can get quite overcrowded at the weekends. The staff speak English and are very kind.
What a cool place if ALL of it was open! They are redoing the indoor part and it was closed, they should have told us this on entering.STILL GREAT because: even though I didn't have small children they had a fantastic warm little children's area with slide and overhead rain shower. The outdoor pools were very clean, one was warm but the other one FREEZING but the nice thing is there are plenty of hot shower stalls and everything is spotlessly clean! There also was a "textile -free" area which I guess is for nude bathing,I didn't go there. Also the restaurant/cafe is being redone as well so take your own food and drink.
This is an ok bath, but we were a bit disappointed. The place looks bigger on their website. They also lack a big Olympic size pool for those who like to exercise. I was also disappointed that the hot part of the pool wasn't hotter.
