THIS PLACE IS BOMB.COM ANYONE WHO SAYS DIFFERENTLY CAN EAT MY SHORTS(I'm just putting these emojis so I can have my 100 character minimum and submit this!!!)
A great wine tasting in a neat little place with some great local goat cheeses. We bought a number of their wines and will definitely go back!! Has a "Boulder casual" ambience and feel with some real local characters to meet and talk to.
I will start out by saying that I actually liked the wines at Charron Vineyards better than here, but nothing compares with the laid back, fun afternoon I spent here at Hops & Vines. It was such a beautiful afternoon that we wanted to sit outside. My husband is somewhat handicapped, and one of the visitors helped move some chairs under the shade for us. We ordered a cheese plate, and just enjoyed the ambience of a beautiful Arizona afternoon while I had my tastings. I did have to go inside to fetch my tastes, this was not a big deal for me. And how fun to pair the tastings with different snacks like cheetohs, Doritos, and chips! Once my tastings were done I ordered a glass of my favorite one and continued to just enjoy the surroundings. This is a family friendly vineyard. There are animals for the children to see, a tether ball, a swing, and bean bags. There were families who were sharing wine while their kids played and walked down to see the animals. The tasting room inside became crowded and the ladies were continuously friendly. The afternoon was a nice experience. When I'm in the area again, I will return here. Oh, if you don't need another tasting glass, bring your own along. The fee for the tastings is discounted if you bring your own.
This was the first winery we visited in the Sonoita area. All and all it wasn't bad, but like many of the wineries out there, visually its location was just kind of so so. The wine was great, the service was pretty good too, and we thought the paint class they had going on looked like s lot of fun. Overall, this winery was above average. It just needed to minor tweaks to make it a little better.
A fun little winery on the main drag in Sonoita. Kind of a hybrid between a coffee shop and a tasting room. They pair all the wines with diffent flavored chips (Doritos, cheetos, potato) a bit odd, but fun. Wine was pretty good too, but a bit overpriced in my opinion.
The owners are awesome and the vibe there is exactly what I'm looking for. Laid back and funky is the tone there! Fluffer is absolutely the best!! I knew I would be buying a case of wine before I even walked in!!
This was our first time at Hops & Vines. We go down to the Tastings about every year but had not visited here before. It was fun & the gal that helped us was delightful. It is only about 3 years old so not as well known as some of the other places. Anxious to get on the website as they have many very creative events & entertaining ideas.
This place is great...the wine is good and the atmosphere is laid back and kid friendly. They have farm animals to say hi to and tons of other activities (like cornhole). I look forward to visiting again.
Great cozy place with a traditionally southwest feel to stop for a decent glass of wine. Try the local cheese plate - we had a lovely cheve that paired nicely with the Fluffer (a sparking Moscato....that didn't taste 'too Moscato'y). Kudos to the fun/friendly staff - tasting are paired with snacks (think Doritos and cheese puffs) to compliment the wine. Even with the kitsch, the wine was good and I could have just sunk in the cozy couches all day with a bottle of the Merci. It was a weird rainy day in January - can't wait to go check it out again when the weather is dry and sit outside.
In spite of the friendly staff and fun atmosphere, I was not overly impressed with any of the wines available for tasting but enjoyed the snacks offered guests. Seems to be popular with young people and families.
