Snowden Grove Amphitheater has great seats and acoustics. I've attended both paid-for and free concerts as well as civic activities. The professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, security - all are excellent.
We went here last night for the Boston concert and it was a great venue! Very clean, friendly staff, and the seats are great no matter where you sit!
This whole complex is fantastic. Ball fields, amphitheater, park, convenient location. Big name performers and one of the best BBQ contests early in the year.
Was there for Dizzy Dean World Series had a great time, great facility. Everytime we go it gets better.
I loved this venue. Great sound for an outdor venue. Parking was free and easy and the delays leaving were really quite short as the marshalls and police seemed to have it all under control. The banking for the seating was perfect so you had a great view of the stage. There was plenty of room in and around your seat - you even have a cup holder for your beer on the back of the seat in front of you. There are permanent clean toilet blocks - such a relief. The food and merchandising stands are easily accessible with queues however they were not too long. All in all a fabulous venue - I will be back
I recently attended the Dave Matthews Band show at this venue. Like the previous reviewer I agree it could have been great. Unfoutunately it was way over crowded. I have seen DMB over a dozen times. I know what the crowd will be before I even get there. Concessions were limited at best, long, long, lines for beer, snacks were limited and bathroom lines were ridiculous. Our seats however were great. Clear view during the whole concert except for the time the police officer chose to let his "friends/girlfriends" stand infront of our seats in the isleway. Security guard asked him to clear the walkway yet they remained. We had friends that had 10 row seats and couldn't see because of the people standing all along the front of the stage. These people did not have front row tickets but were allowed to stand in front of fans that had numbered front row seats. Don't quite understand that. They were there for the entire show. The GA seats were a joke. No room to breath much less enjoy the show. Someone told us that the gate between the Springfest Midway and the ampitheater was left open and about 1000 people came in before the security people realized that. Not confirmed but may explain the overcrowding. Probably won't go back to this venue. Not even for Dave
Concerts sound really good in this amphitheater. Newer facility with great restrooms and concessions.
We recently saw the Dave Matthews Band here and It was great we had lawn seats. It was kinda muddy but fun. The sound that is produced from the stage is perfect. Even when you record on a cell phone it is clear sound. I sugest that you sped the extra and get the seats unless you want muddy feet.
I love the time that had in Southaven, Ms., everything was close the shopping, food, etc. great location.
We went recently to see the Dave Matthews Band at this venue in Southaven, MS. It had to be the worse concert VENUE experience of my life. From the time we tried to enter and park, until the time we left, there was nothing more disappointing than the whole set up of the complex. They are not set up for large venue events!!!!!The parking was horrible, making us park our brand new car in a field that was obviously muddy and soggy from priors day rainfall. There is no signage as where to go and what to do upon entering the one of two or three entrances. We arrived over an hour before the opening act, and only saw one of their songs. It took that long!!!!We were happy that we entered the facility quickly, almost too quickly. They were more concerned about getting you in, vs. what you actually had on you. This is where the police should have been set up, and maybe done a few pat downs. There are no full time concession facilities. Everything was temporary, and poorly set up and managed. After waiting in line for a beverage, we were then told we had to go in line for a wrist band, then back in line for a beverage. Cash only, and watch out for the line at the ATM and the fees it charges. What, you can't get water in this line, go to another line!!!!Lines at the rest rooms were overwhelming, and unless you were a VIP, forget about anything fast. The event was obviously way oversold, as most of the lawn crowd was overflowing into the walkway areas of the venue. Unless you wanted to stand, there was no other option for the poor crowded lawn area.If there would of been an emergency in this place, they would have had to drop a horse collar out of a helicopter to get someone out. There must of been some palm pressing with the fire marshall to get this many people packed in here.Never Never again!!!!! DMB, you should recognize this also, and be booked at a facility that can handle a large crowd. I imagine your profit for the night was quite awesome also.
